Tyler 01-21-2006 03:12 PM

Is it sad that I just woke up, and it's 4:13?

Shattered_Future 01-21-2006 03:14 PM
How do you know that? Could be because of poor diet or smoking...
Well, I do have to watch my weight...maybe it's from that.

I mean, you can't tell that I've lost hair unless you freaking examine my scalp really hard.

I've slept until 1 before, but never 4:13...

Lord Abortion 01-21-2006 03:21 PM

Afternoon

Doctor Night 01-21-2006 03:21 PM
You mean Franz Ferdinand?
I quite like some of their stuff on the first album.
Is it Franz? Oh ok,. Yeh I like some of their stuff, it's just I have no idea what they're on about

Lord Abortion 01-21-2006 03:25 PM

Franz Ferdinand are indicative of everything that is wrong with the current British popular music scene.

TheDMV 01-21-2006 03:27 PM
Franz Ferdinand are indicative of everything that is wrong with the current British popular music scene.
they're rather repetetive, that's what bothers me about most new brit pop bands.

Lord Abortion 01-21-2006 03:29 PM

I hate them all, these little bastard indie kids.
They all are talentless wastes of space.

Jev 01-21-2006 03:31 PM

Nah. I think Hard-Fi are.

Well, I wouldn't go that far.

You're right about brit-pop, though.

Lord Abortion 01-21-2006 03:39 PM

the Brit pop of the early 90's was fantastic, Blur, Oasis, Pulp, all brilliant bands.

The supposed sucessors to that are just horrible, warped, attempted imitations.

Tyler 01-21-2006 03:40 PM

So my friends just got signed to Vagrant records. Irony? They hate Vagrant records. They call it Fagrant, actually. The bassist was telling me how he's struggled to find a band they respect on that label, haha. Still, they're letting them stay in Canada, which a lot of other labels wouldnt.

Shadows 01-21-2006 03:52 PM

I just discovered that I like Katatonia a few minutes ago. This is good stuff.

Woah, when did I hit 9k?

Those are among my favorite bands.

I'm just upset because I went to see the Arctic Monkeys when they toured the States.

Horrible.

Obviously very recently :p

Shattered_Future 01-21-2006 04:01 PM

Katatonia = good.

Not sure which I like more though, old or new...

Stoic 01-21-2006 04:06 PM

Even the originals are pretty dull I find :/
Is it sad that I just woke up, and it's 4:13?
I would be annoyed if I did that.

Get the Mozart ok Stoic?

On a side note, great British transport have once again royally pissed me off. I was gonna have a friend over this evening, but thanks to the trains being horribly delayed it's not happening. Damn trains.

/great British rant

NP: Camille Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre
Get the Mozart ok Stoic?
yup, downloading at the moment, thank you! :D

Jev 01-21-2006 04:19 PM

Ahh. Only the brits can understand the great british rant.

Jom 01-21-2006 04:31 PM

Last night we had a blizzard.

This morning, it's sunny and warm, AKA good packing time.

So this afternoon we made a 10' snowman (ish).

Let's just say he was... oh, how should I put this... well-endowed?

Photos = gone!

Tyler 01-21-2006 04:32 PM

hahaa Jom. Where do you live?

Arucard 01-21-2006 04:36 PM

Arctic Monkeys write some very catchy riffs which are killer to fag dance to.

Bartender 01-21-2006 04:37 PM
 that is amazing 'tender, link?
Actually, yes, as I emailed my friend for a copy of the video shortly after posting that. Here you go;

I see you are banned now, so you may well not see this. But there you go.

Stoic 01-21-2006 04:37 PM

 you pervs!!11 Jom, which one of these sick bastards is you and why the heck two of the guys wear shorts?!

I have the most fun dancing to The Mars Volta.

Lord Abortion 01-21-2006 04:38 PM

Jom, you're a questionable content fan, right?
that strip is awesome...

Arucard 01-21-2006 04:39 PM

Hahahaha Bartender that video is hilarious.

And there are some good bands on Vagrant...

Steerpike 01-21-2006 04:40 PM

That snowman is a classic. Do you plan on doing something similar with your hedges in the spring?

Hep Kat 01-21-2006 04:41 PM

That snowman is pretty cool.

I wish we would get some snow around here.

Tyler 01-21-2006 04:41 PM
Hahahaha Bartender that video is hilarious.

I'd disagree, but to each his own right.

Arucard 01-21-2006 04:42 PM

Senses Fail are a good band on Vagrant.

Tyler 01-21-2006 04:45 PM
Senses Fail are a good band on Vagrant.
I'm just not really into the emo-core and whatnot scene they've got going, but I'm more than happy for my friends. Vagrant seems to be sweeping up the Canadian bands lately, Ontario ones in particular. All these bands I saw when they played for 100 people are now on this giant label, it's almost surreal. Almost.

Stoic 01-21-2006 04:45 PM
I'd disagree, but to each his own right.
exactly, how can you find this hilarious?!?!

>_>

:amaze:

Hep Kat 01-21-2006 04:45 PM
Senses Fail are a good band on Vagrant.
Eh, they're okay.

I know I have a cd from a Vagrant band around here somewhere.

Kind of odd that I can't remember the artist, but I can remember the record label.

Arucard 01-21-2006 04:48 PM

Mmm 2 things..

1. Emo-core isn't a genre.
2. Senses Fail are a pop-punk band.

Lord Abortion 01-21-2006 04:48 PM

And you made a snowknobman why?

Jom 01-21-2006 04:49 PM

The biggest problem we had is that two of my roommates tried to make a humongous base, but they went through a puddle, so it got really heavy really f'in quickly.

And it took three of us a good five minutes to get the middle piece up, because we wanted to make it as big as possible as sturdy as possible.

Then we made the head. We all had to stand on chairs because it's so tall. Two of them lifted the head while the other two made sure it didn't fall.

Then we drew the smile and eyebrows (which faded kind of), followed by the mighty p33n.

At first, we made the snowman so it looked like it was taking a dump on our bitch neighbor's walkout area. But we moved it a bit away.

Well, after we had the two bottom pieces on, we started making the shlong, but we were afraid we were going to knock it off while we moved the base, so we put it aside next to our neighbors' doorwall.

As we're putting the head on, our neighbors throw open the blinds and see us.

"You guys, that's a really, really big snowman."

"And aren't you cold, you're in shorts!"

"Well, we're gonna shut the door now, because it's cold. Bye!"

And we just started cracking up because they were completely oblivious to the shlong. Luckily, we were able to recover it by pretending we were shovelling.

But yeah, this thing is massive in more ways than one.
hahaa Jom. Where do you live?
Michigan.
Shorts? what was the temperature?
Well, it's 30 degrees Fahrenheit right now, but it was in the 40s when we were building the body.
Are you the gay one?
I know you are but what am I? :naughty:
(eek) you pervs!!11 Jom, which one of these sick bastards is you and why the heck two of the guys wear shorts?! (lol)
We made our respective fellating our Facebook pictures for the week. I love how it says, "By clicking this box, you certify that this is not pornography."

Watch us show up on some snow porporn site soon :upset:
Jom, you're a questionable content fan, right?

Definitely!
That snowman is a classic. Do you plan on doing something similar with your hedges in the spring?
We don't have any hedges, just a backyard and some fake plants on our front porch, heh.
And you made a snowknobman why?
Uh, because we could? That, and it's ten feet tall, so... haha.

My roommate has bonsai trees inside, though. Very, very feng shui... hahaha.

Hep Kat 01-21-2006 04:52 PM

That is quite the lengthy post, Jom.

Lord Abortion 01-21-2006 04:55 PM

So the huge snow willy is bigger than the Bonsai trees?
