Which show should I go to:

Dornenreich + Agalloch
vs
Earth

repcak 01-14-2009 08:11 AM

Dornenreich + Agalloch.

Nostalgia 01-14-2009 12:33 PM

Agalloch, no contest.

xtal 01-14-2009 01:21 PM
I like Agalloch alot more after reading their lyrics
Haven't heard of the first one, and I like Earth more than Agalloch. I'd say second, but I'm probably outnumbered here.

FatalEnergy 01-14-2009 01:41 PM

Earth.

Agalloch's live show doesn't match their music. It comes off looking really awkward.

jrowa001 01-14-2009 03:57 PM

just got Doomshine's Thy Kingdom Come, and a the couple songs ive listened to so far have been awesome.

pate 01-14-2009 09:05 PM

Yes, great album.

repcak 01-15-2009 07:06 AM

I went to the ticket-information-store to buy tickets for Cannibal Corpse and saw a poster of Nadja - they are playing in Vienna on Monday :)

Thy Kingdoom Come! - good album

Smell The Cheese 01-15-2009 09:00 AM

I don't know any of these bands.
Thy Kingdoom Come! - good album
I didn't notice the missing O.

jrowa001 01-15-2009 10:05 AM

damn i didnt realize there was an extra O in there. even when i put it in my itunes it went in with one O. gotta change that. now the album rules even more lol

rasputin 01-15-2009 10:27 AM

I didn't notice either at first, I even added it to the review site's database and had it like that for a what was perhaps a few months before I noticed how it was spelt on MA. Once I realised, my initial thought was 'awesome' :D.

jrowa001 01-15-2009 11:18 AM

haha yeah, anytime a doom band throws in "doom" into their album name is awesome lol.

i got The Puritans EP and i thought it was really boring

Nostalgia 01-15-2009 03:33 PM

Album is good but gets boring really, really quick. Only song I listen to now is Where Nothing Hurts but Solitude.

pate 01-15-2009 07:49 PM

Bullshit. It's all great.

Nostalgia 01-15-2009 07:50 PM

yeah **** that guy.

badtaste 01-16-2009 04:44 AM

Can anyone recommend me something similar or a good accompaniment to Katatonia's 'Brave Murder Day'?

repcak 01-16-2009 04:53 AM

Get "Dance of December Souls" by Katatonia!

badtaste 01-16-2009 04:56 AM

Haha, I did so a while ago, and unfortunately for me, the album and I didn't hit off very well.

repcak 01-16-2009 05:17 AM

not? after "Brave Murder Day" I appreciated "Dance of the December Souls" - maybe you shall give it another try?!

do you know "In Mourning", though they are more in the direction of Opeth, but you might like it.

The Morningside - The Wind, The Trees and the Shadows of the Past
It's pretty much Brave Murder Day with a whole lot of Agalloch influence, but it's still decent.

Deinonychus - Mournument

probably the most depressing album I've heard

badtaste 01-16-2009 11:08 PM

I find Brave Murder Day to be very motivating!
I find Brave Murder Day to be very motivating!
I was talking about the Deinonychus...

I don't remember liking Brave Murder Day, Dance of December Souls is where it's at for old school Katatonia.

rasputin 01-16-2009 11:33 PM

Brave Murder Day gets old fast.

rattlehead42147 01-17-2009 12:24 AM

katatonia just suck other than having their rare moments riff-wise, i did use to like brave murder day and jhva elohim meth

Naw Dance Of December Souls is the only good old Katatonia and Viva Emptiness and The Great Cold Distance are awesome.

jrowa001 01-17-2009 08:12 AM

i love brave Murder Day, but i prefer new Katatonia to old

Gonna skip this for a while. Downloading very recent works makes me bad.

Listening to atm. It sounds like Agalloch with Agalloch influences, haha.

rasputin 01-17-2009 09:36 AM
