Agreed on MP's look on Budokan. He doesn't even look like MP. He looks some bogan off the street.

bwnstl 10-08-2006 10:50 PM
because he's MX's nightwish fanboy!

oh he changed it...haha

i love muse and DT both...but DT obviously kicks muse in oh...everything.
taht said, i downloaded most of the bootlegs you were handing around clunge :] major props
You mean everything except actual songwriting? :p

Moses 10-09-2006 02:06 AM

Hmmm...

I can't pick whether I like Muse or DT more. I love them both.

Shattered_Future 10-09-2006 02:44 PM
why do you say that?
I dunno, just his whole getup makes him look like a total nerd.

I don't like Muse too much.
You mean everything except actual songwriting? :p
get out :smoke:
they write better songs than you ;)

bwnstl 10-10-2006 01:07 AM

They do, but not better than Muse. It's honestly hard to decide who I like more though. I think Muse beats DT out, however it's only because of my own sentimental experiences related to them.

Jimothy the 33rd 10-10-2006 03:50 AM
If you've ever seen DT's video of Master of Puppets, he does the best grin, right as the shred solo starts, he's just grinning and spinning around on his whacky wheelboard, it's good.
Man I'll have to see that.
Sounds hilarious

well i guess that depends on your definition of "good songwriting."
i tend to like that almost disjunct songwriting style, where nothing's restricted and each song is just a huge amalgam of everyone's ideas, which is basically what dt does.

just a personal preference.

NP: raise the knife

bwnstl 10-10-2006 10:40 AM

Oh, I understand, when DT write good songs, they write really good songs. But sometimes they're just being technical for the sake of being technical, and then other times they're not necessarily being technical-they just write bad songs. This Dying Soul is something that comes to mind with the technicality problem. I love the song, but I'll take Hysteria or Knights of Cydonia over it any day. However, on the other hand, any song from the first disc of 6DOIT? Then it becomes a little tougher to play favorites.

jpshortstuff 10-10-2006 02:11 PM

everyone shutup about muse - dt>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>muse end of.
(/wonders what would happen if i posted that in a muse thread?)

on a dt related note... um... i got nothing.

oh i would totally agree that KoC > this dying soul. any day. any day.
but there are still some really technical songs i love like the dance of eternity

Oh, it's epic.

Rigth when it comes up to him in the shred solo (He takes over mid way), he does the coolest metal keyboardist stance, left leg back, right leg forward, hunched over, going to crazy speeds. Oh man, just thinking about it gets me hot :o

Edit: Still haven't got the real Train of Thought yet, but I want it.

I have all the live albums on DVD, except for Once in a Livetime and the Uncovered show, those were only on CD.

ghettoeddo 10-11-2006 12:49 AM

Jev 10-11-2006 02:43 AM

I'm missing a lot of the DVDs :(

I just never have enough money.

eug008 10-11-2006 02:45 AM

I prefer buying DVD's>CD's for some reason. I spose they give the band more cash anyway.

Inkstar 10-11-2006 06:25 AM

I'm missing...

OH WAIT I HAVE THEM ALL!

MWHAHAHAH.

>_>

jpshortstuff 10-11-2006 07:12 AM

ghettoeddo 10-11-2006 08:21 AM

charity fund for MX members w/o Cd's/DVD's!

haha

jpshortstuff 10-11-2006 08:27 AM

^^haha yeah

i know it would take a bit longer but how about a charity fund for MXers without a JP sig 7-string MusicMan?

ghettoeddo 10-11-2006 08:34 AM

then put me in there too
that's hwat i REALLY wanted...but it took way too long and so i went out adn bought a 6-string...and now im lookig for a 7-string somewhere near as decent with a tremolo...and i kinda regret shellin out all my money for a 6-string whne i could have a 7-string by now.

i think ill hvae to settle w/ the ibanez RG1527.. :(

haha, like JP would use a RG1527
im so  i have the same initials as JP. also, many great guitarists names begin with J: JP, Satch, Jason Becker... er im sure theres more. i should be up there soon ;)

yeah i tell you how the 1527 is, i should get it this weekend.

Atica 10-11-2006 01:28 PM

Thar's a good guitar, when you get it you must show us a picture of it :p

Tojes 10-11-2006 01:34 PM

I saw Score with a discount yesterday.

:-0

It didn't seem very cheap so I didn't take it. I'll pick up Slayer instead. I think.

ghettoeddo 10-11-2006 02:24 PM

...

*slapslapslapslapslap*

the only thing i didnt like about the RG1527 is that 1) it's ibanez and 2) it seemed very chunky and 3) it's only in that blue color

Jev 10-11-2006 04:56 PM

What's wrong with Ibanez?
and that colour is very sexy.

ghettoeddo 10-11-2006 05:14 PM

ibanez...idk. they seem to have a mechanical tone.

i much prefer petrucci's musicman over his ibanez.

i'd like a darker color or at least a darker shade of blue....i mean it's a 7-string for god's sake :]

eighty d 10-11-2006 05:50 PM

Pickups and amp play a much bigger role in tone than guitar brand. Granted, Ibanez doesn't put very good stock pickups in their lower end guitars, but when upgraded you can get a nice playing/sounding guitar for not a lot of money.
