"Flag polveutua heaven" obvi
|
polveutua is "to sprout from", but thats in the infinitive, so i think its supposed to mean "the flag sprouts from the heaven" but isnt in the right form
now i gotta try and figure out what its supposed to be |
okay i think its either "lippu polveutuu taivaalta" or "lippu polveutuu taivaasta"
why does the US?
We can trace this historic American Christian tradition to the year 1623. After the harvest crops were gathered in November 1623, Governor William Bradford of the 1620 Pilgrim Colony, “Plymouth Plantation” in Plymouth, Massachusetts proclaimed: "All ye Pilgrims with your wives and little ones, do gather at the Meeting House, on the hill… there to listen to the pastor, and render Thanksgiving to the Almighty God for all His blessings." This is the origin of our annual Thanksgiving Day celebration. Congress of the United States has proclaimed National Days of Thanksgiving to Almighty God many times throughout the following years. On November 1, 1777, by order of Congress, the first National Thanksgiving Proclamation was proclaimed, and signed by Henry Laurens, President of Continental Congress. The third Thursday of December, 1777 was thus officially set aside: "…for solemn thanksgiving and praise. That with one heart and one voice the good people may express the grateful feelings of their hearts, and consecrate themselves to the service of their Divine Benefactor;… and their humble and earnest supplication that it may please God, through the merits of Jesus Christ, mercifully to forgive and blot them (their manifold sins) out of remembrance… That it may please Him… to take schools and seminaries of education, so necessary for cultivating the principles of true liberty, virtue and piety under His nurturing hand, and to prosper the means of religion for the promotion and enlargement of that kingdom which consisteth of 'righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost'…" |
why does the US?
Because we destroyed the natives and we're thankful for that. |

last song on that record has an epic beat though. wish a good rapper wouldve gotten a hold of it.
i barely listen to his album, i just have songs from his mixtape Bigger Than the Mayor. theyre mostly good for the beats, but sometimes he has good lyrics. Let's Get This Paper from his album and Buried Alive from that mixtape particularly have some great lines IMO. |
Helen Hunt's character in Pay it Forward is kind of attractive
|
lets get this papers lyrics are hilarious. laughable. its like a preschooler trying to make a serious song. he goes from talking about the oh so cliche tough life on the streets, to talking about 'dem boys in iraq', to talking about getting snitched on all in the span of about 6 bars.
if the beat wasnt ridiculously epic the song would just be unlistenable, as is the rest of his songs. throw some ds is fun, ill admit, but thats the extent of it. polow da don is the only reason to even think about listening to rich boy. |
i'd still suggest giving Bigger Than the Mayor a listen, i liked it before i liked gucci mane
|
yah so...
|
i dont foresee myself listening to any rap for a while. not until i can get insurance again and have a car to put my subs in. but ill remember it for when that time comes, which is hopefully not too too far away.
|
rap and industrial on the headphones all day
|
making a z-ro cd now btw
|
i use my home theater to listen to my muzak so its all cool
heiling people under the stairs right now, hip hop at its finest |
"so we have 2 blunts and five bowls packed and I can't explain why but you're not allowed to hit any of it......and we probably can't find any more weed to buy....come over any way though."
sounds promising. |
actually now listening to drivin down the block by kidz in the hall. system not needed to enjoy this song. its too bad most of their other songs suck.
