Do any of you noobs like California Love?
you know I do bb

Great band, I have a sticker of them in my laptop, haha.

You need to see them live someday.

Jaundice 07-27-2009 09:59 AM

Which album should I download by California Love?

All of them?

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 10:56 AM

Both of them. I like Can't Waste Death more than Reaping the Whirlwind.

Jaundice 07-27-2009 11:11 AM

Will do.

Btw I've decided not to give Insect Warfare another listen. Their ideology offends me.

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 11:14 AM

What the ****? Insect Warfare rules. I can't stress this enough.

Moon Flavor 07-27-2009 11:14 AM

erm what's their ideology besides offtime blasts and wall of noise

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 11:15 AM

They are not a wall of noise. Stop being so simple minded.

Insect Warfare slays hipsters.

I thought you liked the wall of noise. You could at least debate the fact that they're not tight on their instruments at all; but the wall of noise is pretty undebateable

How are they not tight on their instruments? Are your ears busted? The blasts are fast and consistent and never miss a beat. I can hear every riff. Check your ears.

Jaundice 07-27-2009 11:20 AM
Insect Warfare slays hipsters.
I can't listen to a band that wants to tear me in half because I enjoy the occasional Locust song. :(

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 11:22 AM

Hey, it's OK. I listen to a couple of their songs every once in and awhile. Namely "Moth Eaten Deer Head", awesome song.

Jaundice 07-27-2009 11:27 AM

Moth Eaten Deer Head is a badass mother ****er

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 11:28 AM

Yeah, song rules pretty hard.

You should download Swallowing ****, they are ****ing awesome.

hda fulfills his rose as the person with terrible opinions. :)

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 11:40 AM

Seriously, his ears must not work properly. There is stuff rawer than Insect Warfare and I can still make out riffs/drums.

Angmar 07-27-2009 11:41 AM

Ya idk maybe he is listening to their real early demos, those are pretty noisy I guess.

Moon Flavor 07-27-2009 11:42 AM
How are they not tight on their instruments? Are your ears busted? The blasts are fast and consistent and never miss a beat. I can hear every riff. Check your ears.
They're not THAT untight just enough to annoy me. The part that really puts me off of them I can't really explain. Just their style of riffing and whatnot it just doesn't sit with me. I'll never be able to remember an Insect Warfare song they're all so similar. Idk

Jorndiz- What's some good locust? All I have is New Erections and their split with Melt Banana

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 11:42 AM

Those aren't bad at all lol.

EDIT: @ Steven

Moon Flavor 07-27-2009 11:43 AM

Oh I didn't mean they were bad I guess I worded that wrong. What's some MORE good Locust or if there's better Locust what is it?

edit: I think you're being sarcastic? I don't see you liking New Erections...

edit2: or you were talking to angmar

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 11:44 AM

The Locust's s/t is the only thing of their's worth listening to imo.

Moon Flavor 07-27-2009 11:45 AM
The Locust's s/t is the only thing of their's worth listening to imo.
Well I'm taking the Locust fanboy's opinion over yours if he's still online...sorry lol

Angmar 07-27-2009 11:47 AM
Those aren't bad at all lol.

EDIT: @ Steven
Well just in comparison to World Extermination which has pretty clear production and is really tight idk.

Jaundice 07-27-2009 11:50 AM

If you like the Melt Banana split, get Plague Soundscapes. All of the songs on that split are from that album anyway and the rest of the songs on it are all amazing.

Then go for the Locust LP and Flight of the Wounded Locust, both are more raw and have more riffs and shi.

I have World Extermination

Angmar 07-27-2009 11:51 AM

Yeah that's what I meant, dunno why I thought it was a s/t

I think I'd like their more straightforward(ish) stuff a bit more. I don't really dig New Erections too much it feels like they tried wayyy too hard to be different with it

Jaundice 07-27-2009 11:54 AM

Then yeah just get the Locust LP and Flight of the Wounded Locust. Also, there's a Locust EP and it's not as good as the LP but it's probably the rawest, most straight forward thing they've done.

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 11:54 AM
I have World Extermination
Wow, derp.
