I love swimming, but I've only been about twice in the last year. Last time was a total blast.

Over the summer though, I'm going to do lots of swimming, running and biking. I plan to be super fit before I go off to college, and before the new football (soccer) season starts. As long as I don't turn into one of those fitness freaks, it'll all be beneficial. This is probably the last summer with a lot of my old high school friends as well, so hopefully it'll be FUN TIMES.

I'd like to keep fit, but I just don't have the motivation. I'm pretty skinny, so unless that changes I doubt I'll ever be bothered to sign up for thr gym.

swimming = one of the best workouts

I meant to go swimming with friends at this quarry not far from our town. The place has giant cliffs you can jump off of and stuff, and the water is really deep and clear. You have to climb up to a railroad track bridge, follow the tracks for a bit, then go off on another trail to get there. While climbing up, a cop drove by on the road, so we hid, and he drove by. We walked all the way down the tracks (it was like 90 something degrees - we were all excited about the idea of cooling off), and started to go off on the trail to get there, and this police SUV came rolling up. We were pissed. The guy was like "Yeah, I saw you coming up on the tracks, and wanted to stop you before any of my other guys saw ya. You know you're trespassing? This is a $300 fine." We told him we were from out of town and hiking, which I'm sure he didn't buy, but he let us leave. It sucked.

We at least got to go swimming at the house of one of my friends with us.

When I was like 2 years old, I fell in a pool and almost drowndeded. Fuck swimming.

br3ad_man 06-19-2007 07:45 PM

I used to train for swimming like 3 times a week. I don't think I've been swimming for at least 8 months though, and probably a year or so before that one time.

When I was little I used to tuck my knees under my arms and close my eyes and imagine I was an astronaut floating around in outer space.
