Yeah, that's the thrashy band with the amazing guitarist. They weren't bad, but I wasn't paying attention to the drummer.

Seeing Amon Amarth's vocalist drink from a horn of meade made my day.

i was hoping to get something better out of Trivium...they sped everything up and he didnt do any of his clean vocals right...:(

I couldn't get over how Heafy was determined to get the crowd acting violent. He did it too. :( That was the biggest pit I've ever seen. Me and my friends just backed away.

yea he waved his arm around his head for like 15 minutes trying to get everyone to make a circle pit.

That irritated the hell out of me. I would rather that bands just played their music instead of telling the crowd to hit each other.

Trivium was plain pathetic. The guitar work seemed incrediblely off of how it is on the album.

I thought trivium would have been at least decent. But they were a mess. I've seen local screamo/hardcore bands back when I lived in sacramento that were better live then they were. Those bands weren't even known and I've never heard of still.

Trivium's playing was fine but Heafy was a jackass. That bothered me. I think it's a great discredit to Amon Amarth to have to open for a band like Trivium.

I'd rather it started off with bad music then. Amon Amarth's set was so short - maybe 5 songs. Trivium had twice that.

Trivium are insanely popular now for some reason. It's hard to think of a less-deserving band to come [i]after[/i] Amon Amarth.

Yeah we did seem to be.

Heafy is surly a jackass. There playing was awful, I was wishing Amon Amarth was still out there or CoB would come out early.

Keep in mind,

Coming there, I liked Trivium. I wasn't a fanboy or anything. I just thought they were a decent metal band with some good leads.

But after half way through the first song, It was just painful on the ears.

yes, i like Trivium a lot, but they are horrible live...but CoB was that much more awesome and they completely made up for Trivium's...uhh... catastrophy.

They do. Many like their music, but I hated their live show.

They're not an [I]awful[/I] band, the hatred is just infectious. They have written some decent songs, its just the originality (and apparently, the live show) issues.

im gonna see if i can go see bodom live next monday in Tampa (yes, sadly enough i live in florida) and hopefully all will go as planned and its gonna be a f'kin great show.

i saw Bodom in Toronto. Really good show but they didn't play kissing the shadows, but Janne and Alexi did a massive solo duel, it was freakin sweet.

If you listen to their music, it's not really anything groundbreaking.

After listening to it closely. Seeing their pathetic live show.

I really don't think they are worth the hype they get, if any hype.

I mean sure there some nice leads in the albums and solos.

You know how many bands I can find that have that though, and don't completly blow it live?

I've seen screamo/hardcore bands (locals bands back in sac) that were better live.



The thing that horrified me though wasn't just trivium.

If I remember correctly, Matt told the crowd,

"we will see in feburary" with................. In Flames.

I thought the suffering had ending when they stopped playing?

Sorry if this has been mentioned but I heard a Bodom song on the radio and I liked it, can any of you guys take a shot at what it probably is? I'm assuming it's new.
