It was the last local band that played i think...it was the one without a screamy singer...the guitar player on the left was left handed and i think he had some sort of V...they also had a heavyset drummer, and the biggest cymbal ive ever seen :amaze:
Yeah, that's the thrashy band with the amazing guitarist. They weren't bad, but I wasn't paying attention to the drummer. Seeing Amon Amarth's vocalist drink from a horn of meade made my day. |

I couldn't get over how Heafy was determined to get the crowd acting violent. He did it too. :( That was the biggest pit I've ever seen. Me and my friends just backed away. |

yea he waved his arm around his head for like 15 minutes trying to get everyone to make a circle pit. |
That irritated the hell out of me. I would rather that bands just played their music instead of telling the crowd to hit each other.
|
Trivium was plain pathetic. The guitar work seemed incrediblely off of how it is on the album.
ShadowsFallen: I disagreed with you about the AYDY review and that review you wrote were you were critical of trivium. I strongly agree with both now. I really like AYDY and dislike trivium. I wish I had a banana for Heafy. He seriously looks like a monkey. I thought trivium would have been at least decent. But they were a mess. I've seen local screamo/hardcore bands back when I lived in sacramento that were better live then they were. Those bands weren't even known and I've never heard of still. |

I would play good music so they would make circle pits on there own hahhahhahaha |
i missed CoB last week when they came through milwakue :upset:
heard it was a great show to |
I think it's pretty stupid that Trivium do that too, it makes me want to slit his throat with a butcher's knife.
|
Haha, awesome. I've only heard a few Trivium songs before..
|
I strongly agree with both now.
That's good. We seemed to be at each other's throats at first. Trivium's playing was fine but Heafy was a jackass. That bothered me. I think it's a great discredit to Amon Amarth to have to open for a band like Trivium. |

No It goes Amon Amarth, Trivium, CoB. I was enraged.

Yeah dude maybe that was a good idea though because they wanted good music too start of the night |
I'd rather it started off with bad music then. Amon Amarth's set was so short - maybe 5 songs. Trivium had twice that.
|
Trivium are insanely popular now for some reason. It's hard to think of a less-deserving band to come after Amon Amarth.

Heafy is surly a jackass. There playing was awful, I was wishing Amon Amarth was still out there or CoB would come out early. Keep in mind, Coming there, I liked Trivium. I wasn't a fanboy or anything. I just thought they were a decent metal band with some good leads. But after half way through the first song, It was just painful on the ears. |

Hey ppl and so far what ive heard trivium umm stinks :-P
|
They do. Many like their music, but I hated their live show.
|
They're not an awful band, the hatred is just infectious. They have written some decent songs, its just the originality (and apparently, the live show) issues.
|
im gonna see if i can go see bodom live next monday in Tampa (yes, sadly enough i live in florida) and hopefully all will go as planned and its gonna be a f'kin great show.
|
You talking about the one that says Sixpounder live!!! and is 4mb??
Holy wank, I said that ages ago, I don't even know what I was talking about.

Loving the new avatar. I have the video for Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr...it's fun to screw around with the speed controls on quicktime and speed up all the parts where he's singing. POSSESSED CHIPMUNKS! :amaze: |

i saw Bodom in Toronto. Really good show but they didn't play kissing the shadows, but Janne and Alexi did a massive solo duel, it was freakin sweet.

If you listen to their music, it's not really anything groundbreaking. After listening to it closely. Seeing their pathetic live show. I really don't think they are worth the hype they get, if any hype. I mean sure there some nice leads in the albums and solos. You know how many bands I can find that have that though, and don't completly blow it live? I've seen screamo/hardcore bands (locals bands back in sac) that were better live. The thing that horrified me though wasn't just trivium. If I remember correctly, Matt told the crowd, "we will see in feburary" with................. In Flames. I thought the suffering had ending when they stopped playing? |
Sorry if this has been mentioned but I heard a Bodom song on the radio and I liked it, can any of you guys take a shot at what it probably is? I'm assuming it's new.
