Be quiet you ! You're interrupting Star Wars talk ! :p

Cain 05-20-2005 11:41 AM

I'm looking forward to this movie. I fail to understand, though, after reading Roger Ebert's review of it, why he nevertheless gave it three-and-a-half stars. I don't understand it. It sounds like he hated it. I'll post the review up here if anyone wants to read it.

I love star wars so much.

CemetaryGates9 05-20-2005 11:44 AM

I was supposed to go see it tonight, but I have to hit up a party.

I thought everyone hated you?

With people from my old school, where everybody likes me.

I'd be interested in reading it.
Custon 5 and a Alcino II or something like that. I like them quite a bit, especially the Alcino II. That is my bridge pickup
Never heard of those models before...but Seymour Duncan's make some great pup's.

Did you put them in, or did it already come like that? Because if the EMG HZ's were still in it you should have just stuck with those. Even though they are passive they give off killer sound on Jackson's with a tone that has some edge and thick sound to it.

Dancin' Man 05-20-2005 12:30 PM

I had active pickups in. They had already been swapped so I kept them the way they were. I asked in the guitar forum and they got a plus.

Your mom.

SCORE FOR ICB!

NP: Megadeth- Sweating Bullets (because that's what I'm doing right now. It's friggin' hot out.)

CemetaryGates9 05-20-2005 01:22 PM

I'm sweating too. I just walked on treadmill for about a half hour, but had to get off to answer the phone and I don't feel like getting back on.

Fergie from Black Eyed Peas is hot.

Shred Danson 05-20-2005 01:24 PM

Your mom's hot.

Yes, I did it again! (me=douche today.)

It's entering the triple digits here in California. God I can't wait to move.

Yes. Yes she is.
I'm addicted to their new song as well.

Bartender 05-20-2005 01:30 PM

I don't know (or can't recall, anyway) what this Fergie looks like, so I'll withold judgement for now.

That guy I was considering going to Glasgow to see on Monday is playing here (Gateshead - I'm home for the weekend) tonight. Now, in fact, and I'm not there :(

Ah. Yeah, she's alright. Doesn't seem worthy of a post on her own really, though.

A combination of feeling like crap, and Dylan Moran being on at 10.

I'm eating toast.
I'm addicted to their new song as well.
Are you talking about Don't Phunk with My Heart? The song isn't bad, but im not really into. It's catchy though. The video gives me TeH BoNzOrz.

Before ICb can get to it, your mom gives me boners too.

Eitri Is Berserk 05-20-2005 01:50 PM

About 3 hours 'till my first practice with my new band.. I'm excited!

ATTN Munkey: I downloaded Blind Faith last night. It only took about an hour on my internet. I must say it was well worth it. This weekend I'm going to download Home and A Change Of Seasons. I thank you for uploading them. :)

She didn't get a whole post.

I see. Planning to catch him in Glasgow then?
Are you talking about Don't Phunk with My Heart? The song isn't bad, but im not really into. It's catchy though.
Yep. I've only listened to it about 10 times a day, so far.

I'm glad you enjoyed them :) Blind Faith is probably my favourite Dream Theater track. Getting into Dream Theater is always a trial for those on low speed conncections because all of their songs are so bloody long.

Eitri Is Berserk 05-20-2005 02:05 PM

I looked at the file size of A Change of Seasons.. Thats going to take me 2 or 3 hours to download. I've got quite a bit I want to download this weekend. For one, I want I, by Meshugga (sp?). A few nights ago, Madey uploaded the entire 2112 album for me.. around 70 MB, should take 5-8 hours :/ And, to top it all off, I'll probably see Star Wars this weekend. Quite a busy weekend.

Bartender 05-20-2005 02:05 PM
She didn't get a whole post.
Well, close enough. I don't see the particular attraction, I suppose I'm saying.
I see. Planning to catch him in Glasgow then?
Probably not. I don't really have enough money to get a train up there, pay to get in, get somewhere to stay, etc. At least, not enough to do all that and still have money for summer.

Also, of course, Glasgow sucks and I'd rather remain unstabbed /requisite English prejudice :)

Hehe, as soon as I read that somebody got stabbed in a Scottish soap based in Glasgow.

If you don't go then you can't visit Fopp :(

CemetaryGates9 05-20-2005 02:11 PM

Did anybody purchase Mesmerize? I might get it in a few weeks.

Illmatic 05-20-2005 02:18 PM

You know what dawned on me today?

In the late-60's, people rebelled against LBJ, Nixon, and Vietnam and we got an explosion of culture and counterculture...but we have yet to see that with Iraq and Bush. Has America really gotten that lazy? Did Clinton lull us into complacence (and did I spell that right? Is that even a word?)?

I've said it before, but it's so frustrating to see lazy, indifferent Americans all around me. The more I sit and think, the more I begin to believe that my calling is in politics.

Don't have enough money. I jumped a ramp on my dad's bike and I'll have to pay for repairs.

Yeah I know :( Sacrifices have to be made, I suppose. I'll visit a Fopp one day.

Illmatic - maybe Bush just hasn't been as bad yet. Or maybe the fact that that revolution in culture occurred then has made it less likely to happen now, because we still have something like that having happened in living memory. And I think the word you were looking for is complacency, though I'm not sure.
