Naughty me... I've downloaded Fantomas' "Suspended Animation".

I found a fife in with my mother's things this afternoon. This instrument is a plastic flute. It has the same sort of mouthpiece as a flute in the classical sense, but it sounds more like a recorder. It's totally open-holed.

I recorded myself squawking and squealing on the thing, because I don't really know how to play. Then I took that raw stuff and manipulated it using my recording software.

I basically built a little dancey techno tune using only the effected and cut up fife recording and a bit of pink noise. It's like 40 seconds long, because all my recordings seem to turn out really short. I guess I don't have a gift for development. I like it a lot, and am proud of it, but I think most people would find it really dumb.
