i don't think they sound like Slayer's i think theyre trying (really hard) to sound like Slayer. as repcak said, technicality isn't mandatory but i hate how so many bands decided putting an amelodic solo in a song automatically made it extremely brutal and technical.

The thing is, Slayer solos are necessary for the music. Melodic stuff doesn't work. They need a fast chaotic solo.

Drum volume also has alot to do with speakers, on some speakers/headphones I have drums are way too loud and on others you can barely hear them.

That's true, but in the case of Behemoth, the snare drum overpowers EVERYTHING, regardless of what I'm listening to it on.
