Hey Bukowski, I was at the SY show in Glasgow.

Are you talking about Nice N Sleazy yeah?

I would have went to Six Organs of Admittance if it hadn't been on the same night as SY.
Just dipped for the first time tonight. Its made my head trip.
man, everyone does that around here.

Neoteric 09-16-2007 08:06 AM

No wait, I went to see them the same night as you.

Crapppp.

Sonic Youth were great live, one of the best bands I've seen. I was at the front right in front of Lee.

Eliminator 09-16-2007 08:18 AM

Crapppp.

dei 09-16-2007 08:19 AM

Eliminator, where's your album?

Neoteric 09-16-2007 08:19 AM

Been to see Sonic Youth yet Eliminator?

>=)

Neoteric 09-16-2007 08:32 AM

Orphan Fairytale was god awful and no one liked her haha but SY definitely made up for it.

Eliminator 09-16-2007 08:37 AM

why would i want to see sonic youth live

dei 09-16-2007 08:39 AM

They are the greatest indie band ever.

Bukowski 09-16-2007 08:39 AM
Orphan Fairytale was god awful and no one liked her haha but SY definitely made up for it.
yeah she was awful. The band I saw in London supporting them the next week, they were like MBV with Ian Curtis on vocals, and they were boring as hell...but they weren't utterly dreadful like Orphan Fairytale.

Glitterati 09-16-2007 08:43 AM
They are the greatest indie band ever.
no that would be a three-way tie between audioslave, third eye blind, and muse

AlienEater 09-16-2007 09:42 AM

i would have see them doing ddn

but they sold out like 3 months before i realised they were playing

Jacaranda 09-16-2007 09:50 AM

Thats not funny.

AlienEater 09-16-2007 09:55 AM

it wasn't meant to be

Jacaranda 09-16-2007 10:00 AM

Not you.

80vs90 09-16-2007 07:24 PM

yeah i saw sy at the avalon like a year ago. they were great. when they did daydream nation it was sooo epic. then they went into this crazy 10 minute noize jam w/ strobe lights and shit. (can be seen here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZBEdGlUJ3iA). it was awesome. wooden wand opened for them, and he was really good too.

Zmev 09-17-2007 02:11 AM

My face and arms are burnt to a crisp but today was mad fun.

I loled.

Plus how the hell did you get the money to go down to London to see them anyway?

At pitchfork they wouldn't let Girl Talk turn his shit up (people were chanting "turn it up!"). It was completely ridiculous, so I left.
