gimme a reason
They started playing the old Simpsons seasons again lately and they're so awesome. The new ones are just like

OH MY GOD WE HAVE A GUEST STAR > OUTLANDISH STORY > OH MY GOD HOMER IS STUPID > CONCLUSION.

The old ones were at least feasible and refrained from excess.
exactly.

publicastration 09-24-2007 08:22 PM
I remember when Niflheim told us he liked Gilmore Girls. I lul'd.

Nay. Havent heard of Damages actually.
Damages is a new FX original.

Hard to explain so here's a link.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0914387/

And Californication is a new Showtime original. David Duchovny plays a witty, asshole writer that had a hit book but hasn't written anything in almost a year, he gets laid about every night it seems and has a 12 year old daughter with a woman who's marrying another man whom he hates, and he's trying to get this woman back.

Also hard to explain, but awesome.

Deth 09-24-2007 08:23 PM

The past couple of seasons they just give Homer krazy jobs and hilarity ensues.

But usually it doesn't.
Or A Bit of Fry and Laurie.
Or Jeeves and Wooster?

I like House. I also like the Simpsons and Gilmore Girls, and probably several other things you guy have mentioned in this blitz of posts you guys call a conversation. I really didn't like Lost, though.

You spelled "******" with 3 g's dumbass.

PinkFreud 09-24-2007 08:26 PM

No Lost either. You could blast through all 3 (2 1/2 whatever) seasons of Arrested Development in a day. And it'd be a great idea.

Ohhh I see. Forgot you're not in the US. :p

Well FX has some great originals.

You should check out The Riches, Rescue Me, Damages, and Nip/Tuck (haven't seen it myself yet).

I've done that like three times already.

But yeah, Blackadder and its sequels are such great comedy shows. Rowan Atkinson, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, you can't go wrong. Plus Baldrick is a great sidekick/punching bag. :p Nearly as good as Manuel of Fawlty Towers fame.

Yeah it is.

pate 09-24-2007 08:34 PM

I just downloaded The Dethalbum. As much as I hate the show, I always thought the music was enjoyable, but this album is really gay.

PinkFreud 09-24-2007 08:38 PM

FX is a terrible channel.

They're all Apatow/Rogen related ones though. Same for the people off Undeclared. I love how the one broad off Undeclared was the bloody nose girl in 40 Year Old Virgin and the period girl in Superbad. And how Bill is now always a dirty drugged out creepy dude.

ATM 09-24-2007 08:48 PM

Hahah yea, it's funny seeing Haverchuck as a stoner.

I need to finish watching Undeclared, my sister has the whole series on DVD and I've only seen 2-3 episodes.

Freaks and Geeks on the other hand, I've studied those DVD's.

LifeInABox 09-24-2007 08:52 PM

Yay. Well, my school is bomb. Hows about you guys?

Undeclared isn't even close to being as good. It's decent, but yeah that's about it.

PinkFreud 09-24-2007 08:53 PM

My roommate wouldn't believe that it was Martin Starr in Knocked Up.

They've also appeared on How I Met Your Mother thanks to Jason Segel who is awesome.

ATM 09-24-2007 08:55 PM

Jason Segel's character in Knocked Up was so good.

Deth 09-24-2007 08:58 PM

I couldn't sit through Knocked Up. I hated every character and didn't laugh in the first half hour : /

PinkFreud 09-24-2007 08:59 PM

I know! He's hilarious on How I Met Your Mother too.

Just watch your back, Serpico, you never know who your friends are.

Knocked Up and Superbad were the funniest movies this year. You're broken.

Deth 09-24-2007 09:00 PM

That's the weird thing, I loved Superbad. I just hated Knocked Up.
