You've got to think about certain things though, for example no Metallica album sounds the same, and that the band must have acknowledged what fans thought because their setlists were made up almost entirely of the classic stuff

true, but they're 80's stuff was a bit similar, but amazing

i'm actually pretty optimistic, on the MIAWTW tour, they played mostly stuff from the 80's. i heard 3 black album songs (NEM, ES, SBT) and about 10-15 songs pre-black album. they played fuel, i think that was the only post-black album song... so maybe this album will be more like the older things

I hope it is, i mean i dont mind throwing in a song or two off St.Anger in the set

I know this is the Metallica thread, but don't get too defensive.
That they're considered the greatest metal band on earth is you opinion.
I'm not defending the guy, and he'll get banned as soon as a Mod Appears but not everyone thinks Metallica are the best.

some people are just so ridiculously petty and close minded that they can't b the simple fact that their favourite band isn't everyone elses favourite band as well. They tend to go to extrodinary lengths to make sure that their choosen band will stay on top of the pile.
