|
I've heard a few of martys solo stuff and its interestinf not just a buncha fast notes. I've been trying to find some of Chris Polands solo stuff but i haven't been able to...stupid record stores
|
I am going to get a new Megadeth cd, what one should i get. I have the world needs a hero, rust in peace and the system has fail so any suggestions on what one i should get next?
|
If you want a Friedman record that's really good, and not really a "shred" record, I'd recommend Scenes. That Megadeth art thing is cool, cheers fo the link.

I'd say get So Far So Good so What if you like heavier Megadeth and get Countdown to Exctinction if you like more hard-rock Megadeth. |
Peace Sells...But Who's Buying
Killing is My Business...And Business is Good Countdown to Extinction
This, but in reverse order. |
In any order
|
Get countdown or peace sells both awesome countdown is just a little more rockish like that dude said
|
I like going in the order they came out....but that's just me

If you want more modern Heavy Metal get Countodwn to Extinction, and if you want old school thrash you should get Killing is my Business, and if you want thrash with better written songs all around you should get Peace Sells. |
Addicted to chaos, I'll get even I love these songs. risk album is greath i think and crypt. writings
|
You like Risk? You're the first person I know of that likes that album.
|
i cant stop listening to "Blackmail the Universe".
|
Yeah, that's one of the better tracks of The System Has Failed. I like Kick The Chair better though.
It's a good opening track live though. |
I like most of the TSHF tracks, it's probably my 3rd favourite 'deth album.
|
I still haven't got it but I know every song on the album and love it.
|
TSHF is good, but I feel like some of the songs just aren't that "special". Some really rock but some like "My Kingdom", "Something I'm Not", even "Of Mice and Men" and "Die Dead Enough", I feel are just too meh.
|
I really dislike Something That I'm Not. Even if it is a dig at Lars.
|
I really dislike Something That I'm Not. Even if it is a dig at Lars.
I think it's a good song...not as good as of mice and men, but... |
MEGADETH: 'Arsenal Of Megadeth' DVD Collection Details Revealed - Jan. 28, 2006
MEGADETH has teamed with Capitol Records/EMI Music Catalog Marketing to unleash "Arsenal of Megadeth", a new comprehensive two-disc DVD collection available March 21. A visual career anthology containing 32 previously unreleased clips, "Arsenal of Megadeth" chronicles the rise and evolution of the band, providing fans with a heavy metal armory of music videos, interviews, home video shot by MEGADETH's own Dave Mustaine and hidden tracks. Clocking in at almost three hours, "Arsenal of Megadeth"'s tracklist was personally compiled by Mustaine, ensuring the ultimate head-hammering MEGADETH experience. Following the 2005 release of MEGADETH's "Greatest Hits: Back to the Start" CD and deluxe CD/DVD collections of singles and fan favorites, "Arsenal of Megadeth" provides fans with the most in-depth look ever provided into the band's storied history. In addition to 20 of the band's music videos, "Arsenal" contains a bevy of career-spanning previously unreleased material, including behind the scenes audition footage, a 1995 band appearance on MTV's "Most Wanted", a clip of Dave Mustaine's guest appearance on "The Drew Carey Show", and concert footage from 2005's Gigantour — essential cuts for every Megafan. In 2005, MEGADETH was the headbanging, headlining act of Dave Mustaine's Gigantour, a tour founded on the principles of "fan-friendly" pricing and accessibility to the music. Mustaine's vision for Gigantour was to "put together a festival that consisted of positive bands that play heavy music in a high energy environment." 2005's inaugural Gigantour did just that and was an immense international success. "Arsenal of Megadeth" contains previously unreleased concert footage from the tour, including a live performance of MEGADETH's metal anthem, "Peace Sells". MEGADETH was formed in 1983, and in the words of "The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years" director Penelope Spheeris, "[have] always been intelligent and uncompromising; they gave an entire generation a new perspective on our troubled world." MEGADETH members Dave Mustaine, Glen Drover (lead and rhythm guitar), James MacDonough (bass) and Shawn Drover (drums) keep themselves engaged with their fanbase by regularly posting to the official MEGADETH web site (www.megadeth.com). The site connects fans to the MEGADETH eBay auction site and fan forums, and provides up-to-date official information on all things MEGADETH. "Arsenal of Megadeth" (DVD) Disc 1: 01. |
Well I prefer Dave's songwriting, so I choose him.
Alexi sure can solo though. |
Well I prefer Dave's songwriting, so I choose him.
Alexi sure can solo though.
IMO Dave sure owns Alexi in songwriting. 123 but IMO i think that Alexi is at his best when he solo's and Dave isnt. |
