Just right off hand I saw these two:
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Latin-Percussion-Performer-Series-11-34-Conga?sku=441047 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Toca-Sheila-E-Custom-Series-Quinto?sku=443309 I'd be playing a lot of latin oriented material. My drummer has me crazy over latin percussion latley, we're writing a bossa nova jam and it's impossible to not have groove dripping off such an amazing style like honey. |
St Patty's Day is a bunch of bullshit
Seeing as the asshole murdered the Druids of Ireland to make way for Christ! |
so this sucks.
i don't know what happened but my bass in one of the songs is horrible. like it's way up in the mix and then way low in the mix and then cuts out and then is way high in the mix again and then low in the mix. but it was all one complete take. i don't understand. the other song sounds wicked, but this one's not so much. |
I hate recording, I wish I could just will my music onto a cd.
eh?
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Latin-Percussion-Conga-3Pack-with-Free-Bongos?sku=443128 bang for your buck set there man. 3 conga's and a pair of Bongos. |
i'm thinking i should just re-record it here at home (straight from bass pod into computer) and send it to him, because it sounds so bad on the recording i got sent to me.
man, after i get my new kit....i'm gonna want to get a bass :thumb:
I can't think of any reason why a drummer shouldn't learn bass.
My few weeks on conga have already brought about a dramatic effect in my bass playing. Also, the Latin Percussion pack looks interesting but I'm looking for just a single conga. If I take to it as well as I have been then I'll buy the higher pitched conga, can't think of what they're called. It'll be a while before I have enough time from my guitar studies to build a hand percussion rig. See, the thing is. I had a drumset YEARS and YEARS ago and when I finally decided I actually wanted to play I had outgrown the kids starter kit. Now my living situations make owning a drumset difficult and hand percussion is practically limitless. Bodhrans are pretty neat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSdPOB9Snrw&NR=1 The playing style reminds me of the same way I would function playing upright bass in a rockabilly or country setting. |
My Wii kind of reads discs sometimes now. I'll turn it on and it says please insert disc on the disc channel then i'll turn it off and back on then it reads it fine. And when it can't read it i can't eject it so it's stuck in there.
Very weird. |
Have barely touched my Wii in months.
I have Mario Galaxy that has been untouched since Christmas morning. In other news....I LOVE RECORDING! |
i hate recording atm. Especially vox.
And for some reason cubase won't save projects, which is VERY VERY inconvenient. |
I just laybyed a pair of overheads and obtained an amp and leads for my bass geetar.
i can hardly keep my eyes open im so tired ugh
Sleep then.
Sup guys |
I'm at school losr.
Sleep in school. I did in a maths class. Got a ruber throw at me by the teacher lol
i have science then english, I might be able to catch some z's in english.
Lol.
So yeah I might be joinin a jazz band |
ugh i hate jazz tbh
I don't mind it. I'm just not well versed in it. So I dunno

Should I buy a Ludwig Accent Zep Kit with cases for giging??
It's had good reviews. If it sounds good yeah
Yeah, I found a good deal on ebay. Its the natural one. I think it would be sick to have. 26 kicks ftw.
Lol yeah. Well if you're getting a good deal on it go for it. I mean it's Ludwig and it has a 26" kick. Can't be too bad
Yeah..too bad its not all maple. But I'd rather not gig with a really expensive kit. Some places can be a little shady.
I know what you mean. I got a gig at a school comin up with a load of other drummers(real amateurs) n I don't wanna gig the yammie tbh
Are they gonna want to use your kit?
Maybe just bring a little 4 piece? |
Bet they do. I'm the only one with good gear. The rest of em have bins or no kit at all.
I'll see. I could take my old CB, Nowhere near as good. But I don't care if it gets damaged now |
Well if you bring a smaller kit, there is less gear to keep track of. So you'll know if they tried to snach something etc,
I'm more bothered about them bustin it. They're all too pathetic to steal anythin. I'm bothered about em movin the set up and wackin the finish on the kick
26 unless mic'd with a systen that can drive that level of low freqs is kinda whimpy sounding. You REALLY have to lay into it to get the same volume as a 22.......its an air movement kinda thang.
I swear to God, I'm like a retard magnet.
I was sitting in a cubicle, minding my own business, doing one of those damn upside down drawings, and this group of fags just has to come sit at the table adjacent to me. They start talking. First, the subject was alcohol. They were bragging about how much they could drink, what they're favorite drinks were, and all of that. I found it mildly amusing that none of them liked beer if it wasn't light beer. They moved onto football. Then, they moved on to how funny this stupid ****ing video of a guy running over a cat buried up to it's neck in the ground with a riding lawn mower, and how totally cool it would be to write your name in dead cats and shit like that. It's like...how completely worthless can you be? All of them are virgin scumbag hillbillies who were too ****ing stupid and fat to get into the army, so they went to a ****ing community college to take bullshit welding classes that they're failing out of. It shouldn't have bothered me, but I was fucking seething. =/ Edit: I'm way too lazy to uncensor ****ing today. |

I usually feel like I over power my 22. Like I try to get too much volume out of it. I guess im just not happy with it. |
so the band's stuff is here and i now have a pwn set of taye's in my basement. :)
Is anyone else getting massively long rep messages from random users?
