HighandDriving 12-04-2008 10:09 PM
ofc, but they're still fun imo
Lulz, that's kinda sad tbh.

adb 12-04-2008 10:11 PM

not really, I've been to a few by myself and they were still really fun. I'm not going to miss my favorite bands just because nobody wants to go.

HighandDriving 12-04-2008 10:18 PM

What do you do in between bands, try n make friends?

adb 12-04-2008 10:30 PM

phone, go to merch tables and buy something, go to the bathroom, talk to people, etc.

HighandDriving 12-04-2008 10:34 PM

Sounds like fun, also I don't like order **** online because delivery cost a **** load.

adb 12-04-2008 10:38 PM

never said it was fun, but seeing the bands still is. Yeah I guess, but there's this thing called Christmas coming up, dunno if you've heard of it but yeah
shows arent as fun by yourself tbh
I went by myself. I didn't know anybody that would want to go to that show, so I wasn't gonna drag somebody there and pay for them to be bored.

Anyways here's how the show went:

First was a local band who got thrown on the show cause Hate Eternal dropped off. I was looking forward to seeing them (HE) just because they would be there and I was already going, but ah well. The local band had two guys I quasi-knew in it, so it was cool to see them, even though they weren't that great.

Second was Annotations Of An Autopsy. I have to say these guys put on the best performance of the night. All of them were energetic and played perfect. It was pretty simple generic deathcore with lots of juns, but the crowd went nuts and I enjoyed it very much. I went to buy one of their t-shirts but they only had smalls and mediums, which is lame. They are british, which I didn't know until the singer started talking on stage. None of the other bands could keep up the energy like these guys did.

Third was Animosity. The first thing I noticed was that their guitars sounded like complete ***. They had sort of a punk rock tone and not much low end. Their drummer was amazing, but it was kind of a waste with the guitarists and bassist not moving at all, no exaggeration, and sounding like crap. Their singer is awesome and was very energetic. Overall I didn't really enjoy their set very much, mainly cause they didn't sound remotely heavy because of the guitar tone and the boring lack of energy. I bought the hoodie that I posted above before they played, but that's not to say I wouldn't have bought it because I didn't enjoy seeing them live. They still have lots of awesome albums that I listen to.

Fourth was All Shall Perish. They put on a fun show. All five of them are very very talented and played perfectly and were energetic. They played the songs that I wanted to hear from their new album, which was nice. They had a guitar solo battle between their guitarist and their touring second guitarist, who is the guy from Sleep Terror. They both are rediculously good at solos and sweeps. It was a fun to watch. I enjoyed their performance quite a bit. I picked up a black tee with a sloppy version of their logo in white up near the neck. I'll be wearing it tonight to the In Flames/Gojira/36 Crazyfists show.

Fifth was Job For A Cowboy. I've seen them like 3 times since Genesis came out, so I didn't stay to watch them. They always happen to be playing with bands I want to see so I end up seeing them a lot. They are ok live, but not worth sticking around for.

The next deathcore show I'll be going to is the Montreal Assault Tour with Despised Icon, Beneath The Massacre, Neuraxis, Carnifex and The Plasmarifle in February.

Lol you fail so hard at sarcasm, maybe if you had more friends to try it out on you'd be better at it, lonely boy.

hismajestythepope 12-05-2008 10:03 AM

haha yes.

That sucks about Animosity bro, I'd be quite disappointed if they didn't live up to my expectations but I'm not surprised Navene killed it, he's in a league of his own

Imma see that Montreal Assault Tour in Feb, when I saw the Planetary Duality Tour it was Neuraxis who put on the best show.

Plus I really wanna see BtM and Plasmarifle, maybe the singer from Plasma will sing one of his old songs with Neuraxis. I'm not huge on DI but they'd be dec to see I guess.

former marching drummers who play in metal bands? theres actually a few more ill have to ask my old band's drummer cause well, he gets hard to other marching/metal combo drummers.

HighandDriving 12-05-2008 10:29 AM

Navene was in a marching band?

hismajestythepope 12-05-2008 10:31 AM

idk thats what james (drummer i was talking about) said, also, my other old band's old drummer said the same thing in the same conversation. they were totally going off about how good navene is haha.

Yeah it was a disappointment, but for some reason I think they had a fill in guitarist and bassist, cause they seemed really young and scared to death to be on stage. I hope that is the case and I can see them again in the future with the real members.

Yeah I'm looking forward to that tour. Neuraxis' new album is quite good. BtM put on a good show, they are much better live now than they used to be. DI should be fun to watch, since I haven't seen them live before.

hismajestythepope 12-05-2008 01:40 PM

idk that band just is really young

HighandDriving 12-05-2008 01:50 PM

How old are those guys 21-22?

hismajestythepope 12-05-2008 04:11 PM

theyre mostly my age (20) and navene's 18 i believe

Dimmu Burger 12-05-2008 04:30 PM

Well I didn't think they were young because they were one of the first deathcore bands and they have a lot of cds.

hismajestythepope 12-05-2008 04:40 PM

navene was 13 when their first album came out

adb 12-05-2008 08:15 PM

Animosity blows balls live

hismajestythepope 12-06-2008 11:27 AM

I'm pretty sure they're 21 (my age youngin') cause I'm pretty sure the majority were 16 when they released Shut It Down.
