Well I guess that's that then. :p

Shattered_Future 01-09-2006 04:52 PM

YOU PEOPLE ARE BLIND! BLIIIIIIINNNNDDDD!!! :p

I got 8.4% on that test...looks like I'm socially adept after all.

lightningmetal666 01-09-2006 04:53 PM
12.8% :(
I only got 20.9073%.

That fainting goat video is priceless.

I was expecting higher. Like 75% at least :(

Lord Abortion 01-09-2006 04:57 PM

Yeah, the IT stuff meant nothing to me, but The RPG and Fantasy stuff...aswell as gaming, I got marks on.

Illmatic 01-09-2006 05:10 PM

macs vs. PC - I avoid macs just because I don't like their overly-cutsey design. I've used Macs and I've used PCs and I can't tell a difference either way, but I feel like a woman when I use a mac. Then again I'm an idiot, so what do I know?

Geek Test: I got a 1.5%

Shattered_Future 01-09-2006 05:18 PM

Gay, this video won't load...

blue3 01-09-2006 05:19 PM

What video?

The geek test called me a poser, haha.

Shattered_Future 01-09-2006 05:25 PM

The fainting goats one.

Also, does anybody know who this music4youbiotchsimpson dude is? He's the one with the mailing list that seemed to pop out of nowhere...

At any rate, he has a riduculous mailing list...220 albums on the latest one. I'd like to commend him for a job well done. And ask how you use the passwords for the links. :p
Microsoft just reverse-engineered everything Apple came up with in the first place: the only reason PCs are more commonly used is because of stupid business decisions made by Apple Inc. on how to use their state-of-the-art machine, not because Microsoft is superior. Apple has always been much more innovative than Microsoft. For proof, look at what happens when Apple and Microsoft are actually put on a level playing field: in this case digital music. The iPod and the franchise spawned by it has become a cultural icon of the 21st century in less than a decade and Apple consequently controls about 3/4ths of the whole market for legitimate digital music players and sales: comparable Microsoft-sponsored copycats don't even come close.

If you played any of the above on a PowerMac G5, the results would probably own your life. Microsoft is all about mass-producing a cheap product and liscensing the blueprints to other companies. Apple does everything themselves in the name of quality.

And our computers NEVER crash. I'd say we beat you in a ton of ways, system-wise. The only thing we're lacking is program versatility, but don't be deluded into thinking that it's because Microsoft is better.
1. The iPod is riding on the collective backs of impressionable teens with a weakness for savvy marketing. I can name a number of mp3 players which are not only cheaper, but more reliable, and have a comparable amount of storage space for their cost.

2. You can't upgrade Apple computers anywhere near as easily as a PC.

3. Granted Apples are easier to use, however, they can get far too cloying in their user friendliness. Same applies for the default settings in XP.

4. Bullcrap your computers don't crash. I'm not saying PCs don't, but my highschool days were fraught with all the iMacs the school owned crashing on a daily basis. And that was without any added peripherals other than keyboard, mouse and printer.

5. You do know that Microsoft develops software, and has minimal say in PCs, right?

6. You do know that Apple contracts out third parties to build their hardware, right?

Shattered_Future 01-09-2006 05:39 PM

My computer never crashes.

*knock on wood* :p

It's true though, people have iPods just for the sake of having one. There's plenty of better, cheaper mp3 players out there, but people "need" iPods.

I have one, simply because I'm one of the only people who's justified in getting one. That reason being, I have a Mac, and that's one of the only mp3 players that works with Mac.

I laughed pretty hard when that question about criticizing modern society came up. It's as if the guy knew me.....

I'm not a major RPG gamer, but I have an obsession with the lord of the rings series.

Shut up, we all know that you and I are functionally retarded masochists for even daring to use a PC.

Oh man, my school is nearly ran on macs. I hate them, especially in my biology class, most of them constantly fail to work properly. And they can't even play the videos that are put onto them.

I have an iPod because I got one for Christmas. I even told my parents that I didn't want an mp3 player of any kind, but they still got me one. I don't mind now, because I'm really glad I have it.

I've tried the old ones back in hs and they sucked balls, but if you try a G3-5 macintosh, you'll like it.

I have a friend that has one, and she has never asked me to fix it for here, not once since she has got it. When she had her gateway computer, it broke down regularly. I remember having to wipe her drive and re-installing windows at least twice.

Computers on the whole just suck anyways. Music is better.

sup nerds.

:p

why does the forum layout look different to me.....?

Riva 01-09-2006 05:52 PM

I scored 25.65483% - Total Geek :p

All those bloody science related questions really got me.

I mean, everyone knows all three temperature scales right? And the freezing/boiling points of water at 1 atm on each scale... right?

Well I knew the temp scales but I didn't know what the freezing/boiling point was in kelvin.

Shattered_Future 01-09-2006 05:54 PM

Fahrenheit...freezing = 32, boiling = 250
Celsius, freezing = 0, boiling = 100
Kelvin, both = who really gives a crap?

Riva 01-09-2006 05:56 PM
Well I knew the temp scales but I didn't know what the freezing/boiling point was in kelvin.
Kelvin is graduated in the same increments as Celsius, but begins at absolute zero, or -273 Celsius. Hence the freezing point of water is 273K and by extrapolation the boiling point is 373K.

HAHA.. I remember studying so hard to remember all that stuff, because our teacher told us that we'd have a huge final at the end of the term, but like 3 weeks before the end she said she decided she'd have us do a final project instead of a test.

I've since forgotten about Kelvins, valence electrons, and that kind of junk.
