Adam Jones is GOD 10-04-2004 09:17 AM

HI GUYS/GIRL!

Im back from my eventful London trip. And I have the destroyed knee as a sovenier of one crazy concert :upset:

What have I missed then?

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 10-04-2004 09:21 AM

Nothing special mate. The trip was good then?

Adam Jones is GOD 10-04-2004 09:27 AM

Very. i took the recommendation I was given of where to go, and found a rare *** CD, and my perfect guitar in the Virgin Megastore (which did leave me wide mouthed, so good in there). No transport problems too, so had a great time. The concert was the most brutal i've been to, got my kneecap knocked out in the middle of the pit, so had to hobble out. But the mean fiddler is such a good gig venue, and the beer was the cheapest i've had at a gig.

But alas, back to normal now. another gig in a week, and I have to be walking by then, not hobbling

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 10-04-2004 09:31 AM

How much is it at the mean fiddler? do they still give you cans of Grolsch for £3.30?

And the mean Fiddler is a bastard of a venue, i hate that step , it normally ruins the pit.

Did you go to the Virgin next to the Mean Fiddler?

Am i asking too many questions?

:)

Adam Jones is GOD 10-04-2004 09:35 AM

 It was that step that took my knee out. But the one at Rock City is worse, so it was a change. i hobble dup to the upper bar where you look over the stage, that was cool, go to see all the pedal layouts and stuff. Our rounds cost us just under £6, for Guiness and Stella (no Grolsch though, though the lead singer of 36 was drinking one). Such a cool place though, the dudes from the bands were just strolling around the pit before the gig.

It was that Virgin store, yes. Found the guitar I was after at last, the Ibanez RG370 with 3 different pick up sets, so ill be returning later in the year to buy it, as they sounded so good.

Question away, i've not typed for a few days, im hungry for it!

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 10-04-2004 09:40 AM

i like that Virgin, it's quite a nice place to sit in the Costa downstairs when you are up in London.

That step is such a bastard

How many people were the rounds between? £6 is good if it's two people compared to most other venues

Accentopus 10-04-2004 09:43 AM

Hello all

Adam Jones is GOD 10-04-2004 09:44 AM

Just the two of us. I spent more on travel than anything else all weekend, I was expecting to have empty pockets by the end, but i still have £30. I only need to go to Brixton and the Forum now, and I will have figured out how to get to every good venue in London. So my gig possibilities have increased by a lot, as I didnt realise how easy it was to get around between places.

Such a large amount of music stores in that area, just a pity it was a sunday, half were shut :upset:

Accentopus 10-04-2004 09:47 AM

RG370. I have heard some good things and some bad things
