I enjoy brief spurts of Behemoth occasionally, although Nergal's vocals always annoy me instantly. The only thing worse than his vocals are his solos, which are generally just terrible.

Nergal is a failure of mankind.

I love his voice on Demigod, and while his solos suck, his riffs and leads are great....

I just think he has a stupid name.

See, this is my point. Behemoth is way ahead of Obituary musically, the only thing that I really like about Obituary is Tardy's vocals (hay guys let's drum quarter notes and play thrash riffs). They definitely aren't nearly as boring as some of Morbid Angel's stuff (Altars and Covenant are the only albums they put out I actually find listenable, but I love both of them). Your complaints about Behemoth are stupid because alot of the stuff you guys listen to is bland and generic as hell.

Well, Belphegor is pretty similar to Thelema.6 era Behemoth and they can be compared to Demigod a little, but they have alot more black metal influence. Nile is alot more thrashy than Behemoth but yeah, their melodies are similar. I think they use the same scales.

I would say Belphegor is more black metal than death.

The only albums where there is a noticable death influence are Goatreich and Necrodaemon.

Belphegor is half and half. No more black metal than death metal.

No, the new one, and Lucifer Incestus are much more prominently black.
