well you were wrong its in a minor as the composer i think id know
With the notes that you have written out there, either will work. It all depends on how you want to develop it. Either way the bassline sucks.

I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned that no string was specified. Well, I guess we now know that it's on the E string because it's in A minor and A minor only.

The Brad 11-09-2006 06:54 PM

De Kooning - Excavation
Kirchner - Self-Portrait as Soldier
Munch - Scream or Puberty
Picasso - Les Demoiselles d'Avignon or Guernica

Probably an early Pollack because it was the "American style" that came to power once NYC was the world's art center (because WWII destroyed Paris and most of the European artists immigrated to the US)

I would say Duchamp's Nude Descending the Staircase no.2 had a bigger impact than the readymades such as fountain, but if you feel otherwise I would assume you have a good argument

Henri Rousseau and de Chirico had a huge impact on Surrealism.
1. Get a SPDT on/off switch with 3 lugs on it. All you have to do is make sure that you use the middle lug for one wire and any outside lug for the other. YOU MUST USE THE MIDDLE LUG FOR IT TO WORK.

2. Solder one wire to the ground and the other to the hot wire, so when you flick the switch you effectively join the ground and hot wire sliencing your bass!!
That would short the battery, killing it fairly quickly, then causing corrosion. Then death, maybe.

Im confused

The Brad 11-09-2006 07:02 PM

Done, son.

I would also mention Otto Dix (fave Dada) and Francis Picabia (fave futurist)

It is an active bass, what you said would work on a passive bass, not an active one. I would just put the switch between the input jack and anything else. Wire it like an on/off switch.

de Kooning brings back some terrible memories haha.

Screams a good one, and i try to avoid art works with there titles in spanish because ill never remember them.

Id rather do Fountain because i actaully know about that and can write about it.

Thanks, youve given me some ideas.

he should just cut the ground wire and solder the two cut ends to two of the terminals - one being the middle. If I'm reading yours correctly you're saying to tie the Batt+ to Batt- in order to short out the battery and kill the bass.

yeah but that would just cut the signal creating a crappy buzzing noise wouldnt it?

The Brad 11-09-2006 07:05 PM

Guernica is easy because it's the name of a city and the other you could just say Avignon or paraphrase it as a painting about a whorehouse. :P

No problem.

Not battery - to +. The hot wire on the jack to the ground wire on the jack...

No buzzing noise if you ground it, that is what he wants. He wants an on/off switch so he doesn't have to unplug it all the time.

That still shorts the circuit, you want to put an open in it instead. Shorts are bad.

Well you guys can tell him when he gets back :) Im going to go learn some art... *shudders*
