I haven't, but of course I just started posting here a little while ago.

I've just gotten more into Pink Floyd now because of all the mailing lists. Is it a good dvd?
It is an amazing dvd. I'd definently recommend checking it out ASAP.

Will do, once I get money. I already owe my parents a lot for recording equipment and then Homecoming is this weekend and etc.

Pink_Zeppelin 10-16-2005 12:01 PM

its back to normal

temporary 10-16-2005 12:05 PM

WTF is up with the forum? I can't take the white colors!

moaner 10-16-2005 01:12 PM

LAP is just brilliant.

LF96 10-16-2005 01:47 PM

LAP is like 12 euro at the local cd-store, I guess I'll have to pick it up one of these days.

Also, yesterday I bought Inside Out very slightly damaged (but not 2nd hand) for 12 euro (!!). I've read everything from the Syd-era now and am gonna start reading the stuff about Atom Heart Mother and further. I must say that I'm liking it very much up till now.:)

thickasabrick 10-16-2005 01:48 PM

I have 130 rep points  Pretty good considering I do dick all in these forums, except for posting in drug threads and classic rock discussion.

What's everyones favourite song from Saucerful of Secrets? I find it hard to choose, Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, Corporal Clegg, Let There Be More Light, Saucerful of Secrets, and Jugband Blues are probably my favourites....if I had to pick just one I'd probably say A Saucerful of Secrets...although Jugband Blues is amazing.

Pink_Zeppelin 10-16-2005 02:00 PM

Im grateful you threw away my old shoes.

Jug Band Blues!

BigTrav415 10-16-2005 02:01 PM

I actuallt logged on today and it had white colors up, so I kept it. I've had blue-green since I joined, except when it auto-gave me MXTabs style one day, bit I immediately changed back. I'm liking white-blue though.

Let's start a singalong!

"Heaven", said the Promised Land
"Looks alright from where I stand"
'Cause I'm the man on the outside looking in

Thats hard but maybe I'd go with "Jugband Blues" or "Let there Be More Light".

Let There Be More Light is awesome, but Set The Controls For the Heart of the Sun wins.

guitarded_chuck 10-16-2005 03:01 PM

Corporal Clegg! I love that song so much. Jugband Blues too, because it haves a significant meaning with Syd's departure. It almost sounds like he is saying good bye to me, and he sounds sorry about it.

magicbus 10-16-2005 04:13 PM

I think my favorite song on SFOS is "Remember A Day". I would say "A Saucerful of Secrets" in second, but I like it better on Ummagumma.

BigTrav415 10-16-2005 04:31 PM

I see my sing-along never gelled :upset:

I need to listen to some more early Floyd.

Pink_Zeppelin 10-16-2005 05:23 PM

Yupp.

 i have a clan of ginger bread men. too bad bigtrav is eating them

sing along to this classic floyd tune :)

It's quite different to the newer Floyd. I've noticed Rick and Nick actually have creative moments.

Pink_Zeppelin 10-16-2005 05:31 PM

Yeah pinks floyds old stuff is way different then their new stuff. almost sounds like 2 different bands but its kool.

help i cant post new threads :upset:

Will you quit spamming? It's because you need to be a member for more than 24 hours in order to create a thread.

Meddle made a list of the most under-rated albums of all time once, and I whole-heartedly agree. Even a lot of Pink Floyd fans have never heard it, sticking with dark side of the moon and on. check it out if you haven't.

Meddle = best Floyd album ever

Obscured by Clouds is more underrated though, and freaking awesome.

(take a couple if you wish, they're on the dish  )

temporary 10-17-2005 01:16 PM

So, I'm pretty sure all of you guys read about the new album their supposedly making. Theres a link to a site about it in the Classic Rock thread.

magicbus 10-17-2005 01:29 PM

Yea I heard about it, and I don't believe it. Like seriously, I don't think it's real.

standard 10-17-2005 01:35 PM

It's obviously not..

Grant 10-17-2005 01:37 PM

If they overcome their animosity, then a new album will be possible. Even if that happens, they all seem to be finished with the music industry.

standard 10-17-2005 01:40 PM

I'd love to see a new Floyd album just as much as the next guy, but let's be realistic.

I just couldn't see it happening, honestly. It would be awsome though.. Even if they didn't tour.

If they were to tour, or even play in the US.. I would go, no matter where it was.. Thank God my dad is a huge Floyd fan, and is willing to put up bucks.

robo2448 10-17-2005 02:00 PM

Floyd is one of the few bands that I think hasn't really declined with age. Gilmour's just as good as ever, and Roger is probably more creative and ambitious than he's ever been, not sure on Wright, and Mason was never really that good to begin with (excluding a few early songs). If they made a new album, I think it would be really high quality, like on par with their stuff in their prime. But I don't believe the rumors. I'm not believing anything until one of the members says it's official.

Pink_Zeppelin 10-17-2005 02:57 PM

It would be neato if Pink Floyd came out with an album. But its kinda out of the blue and hard to believe cuz they have been gone for a while without new music and BAM out comes a new album.

Rothmans 10-17-2005 03:25 PM

I honestly do not think they will come out with anything sadly.

I just cant see it happening :/

Also who is the drummer for Pink floyd again? Nick isnt it?

Well whoever he is he is a wanker.

Pink_Zeppelin 10-17-2005 03:31 PM

Its Nick Mason.

In The Wall, what are those masks that the kids are wearing during Another Brick In The Wall Part 2?? They Scare me =/
