Whenever I listen to Behemoth, I'm like "lol"

Demigod is really cool.

Especially Conquer All.

I really don't understand why people don't like them, they're on par with Immolation for musical accomplishment.

.......except Immolation sounds good.

That's where subjectivity comes in I guess. I really love Behemoth.

I used to be a Behemoth fanboy (admittedly). So, I still have a certain bias towards them, but yeah I agree that they're nothing special.

I still want to see them live however.

Please don't compare Immolation to them.

Immolation is on a whole other level.

Immolation is hella good.

I think Thelema 6 is the only Behemoth album that I would rate highly. The others are pretty nondescript in my eyes.

Well, I like Behemoth and Immolation for alot of the the same reasons so I always think of them as being next to each other. Thinking about it, they're pretty different though.

pate, your bitching about BATS from Morbid Angel being boring was spot-on. i've listened to it before but not really with my full attention, so i tried it again tonight and its kind of lame except for about 3 tracks. the keyboard stuff between songs just sounds to me like a mockery of Testimony of the Ancients.

Old Behemoth is cool, but Immolation is so much better.

Annihilation Of The Wicked was awesome the first week I had it, then I was like, eh I'm gonna listen to more Demigod (the band, not the album).

I still don't see what the hate on Behemoth is about. Liking them makes my taste bad? Behemoth's riffs and songwriting show such ingenuity, thoughtfulness and technical prowess while maintaining catchiness and brutality (aside from some of the songs on The Apostasy where it seems like they got lazy in structuring their songs, meh). They're boring and generic. Pretty much all their stuff sounds the same.

Riffs and songwriting? It's the same **** in every song pretty much. oooo tremelo riffs and chugging oooo layered vocals and echoes oooo blast beats.

I still prefer Unholy Cult over any other release they did, but SITL is a niceprogression.
The Weight Of Devotion and Hate's Plague are great songs.

I like me some Behemoth from time to time.
Satanica and Demigod are pretty good albums.
Although Nergal should never overlayer his vocals as on Demigod.
Pretty entertainng live act too btw.

They use chuggas when there's another rhythm going. They're unique because of how the use disjointed rhythms and how they incorporate melody/arpeggios. If you really think all of their songs are the same you must have a hard time paying attention to what's actually being played because they have alot of mid-paced songs and breaks.

Demigod is the only album they used effects/layering on. Sometimes there's a shriek over a growl on ZKC and the apostasy but that's about it.
