i would honestly buy their new essential iron maiden cd before either because of the older songs but brave new world would be my choice of the two there because it has some harder songs that are really going to stick like the song wickerman.
I'd say Somewhere In Time. I love that CD, and it would be better for the guy who is collecting the Maiden albums to have another studio album rather than a compilation. |
Decisions, decisions....
Should I get Somewhere in Time after Piece of Mind (which I'm getting next), or Brave New World.... Suggestions anyone?
hm, thats a tough one. in my oppinion BNW takes the cookie. |
Hey you all!

Just some songs that the die-hard IM fans like thanks
my personal top 10 maiden songs are hallowed be thy name still life the sign of the cross dream of mirrors where eagles dare killers strange world the ghost of the navigator fortunes of war the trooper |
I agree with most of those choices ^ but I think Powerslave and Wasted Years fit in somewhere in the top 10.

Though I would change DWYBO with POTO. |

I would be very, very grateful if maybe you could upload "quest for fire", "sun and steel" and "to Tame a land" in here, again in any format that isn't WMA. |

EDIT- 666 posts :D time to listen to number of the beast
Bet you didn't realise that the number of the beast is actually 616 according to early versions of the Bible. It has been misquoted in the book of Revelations and the Old Testement for a long time. Random fact there. |

First post of the day :)
I've been really loving The Fallen Angel lately. That and There's A Thin Line Between Love And Hate. I'm sure it's been noticed, that Iron Maiden's seventh album, is Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, but it has eight tracks on it. This doesn't quite work. If you had to get rid of any track on it, which one would it be, and why? Extending that to other albums, which album, which track and why? I'd probably drop Gates Of Tomorrow from Dance Of Death. It's just not a catchy tune, it doesn't have their usual quality, and it doesn't even have much to say. From Brave New World, it's hard to choose. I'd probably shorten The Nomad. Otherwise Out Of The Silent Planet or Ghost Of The Navigator...it's a really tough choice though, that is a quality album. Iron Maiden would lose Remember Tomorrow... Number Of The Beast, Gangland...or Invaders (maybe)... As for Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son...hmm Infinate Dreams, I guess. Hi. |
