The Strokes - First Impressions of Earth
It's a quality album. Sounds a little different than their earlier stuff, but nothing amazingly different. |
The Incredible String Band
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists Both downloaded last night and both are pretty good. |

City of Caterpillar are so good. I've been digging the Blood Brothers and The Decemberists also.

Maybe you should get some pg. 99 already. You know, since CoC is made up of pg. 99 members. |
Sparta - Porcelain
Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker Radiohead - The Bends Mineral - Power of Failing |
Dälek - From Filthy Tongue Of Gods And Griots
Cake - Fashion Nugget Thomas Dybdahl - Stray Dogs DJ Shadow - Entroducing Björk - Post |
The Stooges - Funhouse
I can't always listen to this record. But when it works for me, it's unbelievably perfect. |
How can it not work for you?
It's such a perfect piece of rock, it always works for me. |
Cage
ZZ Top - Tres Hombrés |
Jens Lekman - Oh You're So Silent Jens
Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy Appendix |
Nice, soft Sunday listening.
Jose Gonzalez - Veneer Imogen Heap - Speak For Yourself The Ponys - Laced with Romance |
How can it not work for you?
It's such a perfect piece of rock, it always works for me.
I guess what usually happens when I'm in a particularly brainy and difficult mood is that I get sort of maddened by the lack of variation between "Loose" and "T.V. Eye." Other days I get sucked into the world of the record, and I just sort of ride right through that stretch, loving every minute of it. |
Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy Appendix
I'm going to see them tonight. Cool. Roots Manuva - Awfully Deep The Smiths - Strangeways, Here We Come Billy Bragg - Talking With the Taxman About Poetry |
The Strokes - First Impressions of Earth
Creedence Clearwater Revival |
Four CD's I ordered came today. God Bless Your Black Heart by The Paper Chase is really good, Thunder + Lighting by Modey Lemon is very good, Ruin Everything by We Versus the Shark is pretty good, and I haven't listened to Shock of Being by Make Believe yet.
|
That Papaer Chase album is strange. I don't click with it very well.

I'm diggin' the whole weird, dark, and dissonant thing. |
Yo La Tengo - Painful
Just came in the mail. So far I'm liking it. |
Elvis Costello - My Aim is True (bad)
Yeah, I don't understand why that album gets all the praise that it does. Glass Eye - Hello Young Lovers Half Japanese - We Are They Who Ache With Amorous Love And I'm still digging Galaxie 500's On Fire(since earlier this week). Very solid album. |
Do you have soulseek? I want some Glass Eye stuff.
Yeah: sorryentertainer |
Massive Attack - Mezzanine
Yo La Tengo - I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One Sufjan Stevens - Hark! Songs For Christmas |
Lots of artsy female vocal stuff...Björks "Debut" and Cocteau Twins' "Treasure"...both equally brilliant.
|
Todd Rundgren - Something/Anything?
One of the best albums ever, easily.
I'd trust you, but you say that about every two weeks. :p |
Haha, point set & match.
I'm diggin' the Kinks so far today. |
The Kinks here, too. Something Else. And earlier, the new Paul McCartney joint.
