Tangy zizzle 06-12-2007 07:23 PM

Animorphs was a terrible creation. The idea's kinda cool but.

br3ad_man 06-12-2007 07:42 PM

Animorphs was gay.

YDload 06-12-2007 08:25 PM

Hedgedive 06-12-2007 08:47 PM

Check out the Daydream Naiton deluxe Pfork review...
http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/43525-daydream-nation-deluxe-edition

Zmev 06-13-2007 03:50 AM
this record is great, sure-- that's one boring reason-- but it's also because this record is one of a handful that helped shape the notion of what American indie rock can potentially mean. It's almost a tautology: Indie fans love Daydream Nation because loving stuff like Daydream Nation is part of how we define what indie fans are.
AlienEater 06-13-2007 05:11 AM

I don't love Daydream Nation

I like it but some of the songs are so meh or annoying.

br3ad_man 06-13-2007 06:54 AM

DN = not the best Sonic Youth album

dei 06-13-2007 07:35 AM

so is it still cool to listen to records from 2006?

ATM 06-13-2007 07:37 AM

Hey look who's back :-D

dei 06-13-2007 07:40 AM

i have been back for some days now, guy. my other account was banned for spamming rock & metal.

ATM 06-13-2007 07:56 AM

Welcome back.

dei 06-13-2007 08:46 AM

when did you get a large avatar?

Liebensaft 06-13-2007 10:05 AM

Daydream Nation is pretty good. When I first downloaded Sonic Youth to listen to (relatively recently), I downloaded like 10 albums, and wasn't sure where to start, so I just did the first thing that came up in alphabetical order, A Thousand Leaves. I like that one a lot, but mostly because I've grown accustomed to it. I've listened to Daydream Nation a couple times and like that one too. The other albums I have I'll get to in time. I'd rather familiarize myself with one set of songs before piling new ones on.

haha faggot

Boilermaker 06-13-2007 12:34 PM

I think Sister is better. Not by much though.

YDload 06-13-2007 04:10 PM

Sister is the next SY album that I have decided to get.

I usually don't like Pitchfork's over-indulgent reviews, but when it's about an album I've heard of (and like), I feel kinda good about reading it and seeing how much the reviewer likes it too :o

Eliminator 06-13-2007 04:11 PM

they gave dn a 10 so i have no beef

YDload 06-13-2007 04:16 PM

Why wouldn't they? It's a landmark.

Eliminator 06-13-2007 04:17 PM

i'll have to find a site that doesn't give it 5/5 and DESTROY IT

asdf 06-13-2007 04:21 PM

Robert Crumb 06-13-2007 05:11 PM

World Psychedelic Classics 3: Love's A Real Thing (The Funky Fuzzy Sounds Of West Africa)

I've wanted to get this for a long time. But as we all know, time is not the sequence of events that we often make it out to be; rather, it is a single instance that bubbles up to the glassy surface of life and sinks just as quickly, quite easily retrievable if one possess the means. What I mean to say is I'm really high right now.

Robert Crumb 06-13-2007 05:13 PM

Oh wow, I thought this was the digging thread.

Eliminator 06-13-2007 05:21 PM

it isn't?
