Novembers Doom own.

The thing with Mastodon is that they're pretty out there; I've seen them live a couple times and the first time in Portsmouth they owned and at Hellfest they sucked.

They do a lot of hallucinogenic drugs so yeah. But Leviathan is a wicked album. Everything they've done so far has really impressed me. Standout track = Aqua Dementia. Good stuff.

Tbh, I wouldn't consider mastodon stoner or doom.

They have elements of both genres. They're a genre shifting band tbh.

My fave doom band of the moment is probably Ahab though. They're pretty sound.

Neurosis on the other hand are a great experimental/doom type band.

Mastodon is a great band, but their live show has been getting progressively worse with every new album.

Mastodon got me into Neurosis and ISIS a few years ago.

Anything ISIS do is awesome. Oceanic is one of my fave albums of all time.

Relapse Records don't go far wrong tbh. And kudos to the dude talking about Agalloch. The Mantle, Pale Folklore and Ashes Against the Grain are all superb albums.

I like ISIS, but I find myself going long periods with out listening to them.

Same with me really. Like a couple of months ago I was really into them. Now I'm in a phase of older deathcore stuff and grindcore; Through the Eyes of the Dead, Between the Buried and Me, Pig Destroyer and Narcosis etc etc

Isis can blow me.

Nov Doom are one of my favorite bands.

Yesss Torche are coming. They are playing with The Sword, who are kind of meh, but I bet it will still rule overall.

What type of speakers did you listen to Idolum with? It was kind of meh, until I listened to it through my car speakers.
