Haha of course 80's action man, the best genre EVER.
Night of the Living Dead was only $6! Sweet deal.
I loooove zombie/horror movies..especially the classics.
great movie, great buy

was it an original Reel to reel?

"they're coming barbara....they're coming to get you!!!"

VTDS_xx 09-15-2005 11:08 AM

@Powerstamp - Yay for Metalcore :)

Ever heard of This is Rennaissance? They are local to me, didn't know if they have there name out. They are good though.

-Obscurity- 09-15-2005 12:06 PM
Don't forget to pick up They live and big trouble in little china on DVD

You can get those cheap too, classics.
Oh yeah, that was a good one. I always wondered if Mortal Kombat ripped off some of their characters from that movie.

Voodoo Rabbit 09-15-2005 12:12 PM
If Musicians Friend participated in that, I'd so do it. The closest Guitar Center though is in St. Louis, a 4 hour drive. Meh.

Yeah, I'll probably check out the color version of Night awhile later.
I was gonna buy Dawn of the Dead too (Romero), but they had a special edition with 4 discs. Europe/Italian/2 other versions and Romero's original, for $30! That's a great deal but exceeded what I wanted to spend so next check: hell yeah.
'Dawn of the dead' is another great movie.
I love the special effects, and it's got some pretty funny parts.

Tom Savini rules.

Der Meister 09-15-2005 01:12 PM

Ugh, A level is so crap. So much written work, especially for biology. I have to explain how the stucture of arteries, veins and capillaries helps them to do their job. I Also had to finish my presentation on a chloroplast, oh the joy...

16th Century history is pretty interesting though. But my sociology teacher is such a Nazi, he thinks that people like Wayne Rooney and Andrew Flintoff(bad role models) shouldn't be allowed to play sports or represent their country in a sport no matter how talented they are.

Voodoo Rabbit 09-15-2005 01:15 PM

^ When in A level Biology (Or the Scottish Equivelent) I spilt chlorophyll over the workbench and stained it green...

Stupid hairdryer...

Drum Phil 09-15-2005 01:46 PM

I failed biology at AS (half an advanced level) along with physics and chemistry. So i was thrown outta college and now im just loitering doing nothing all day

That is the same as me. Well i finished my college corse last year, and forgot to apply to Uni, so i have to wait a year. :D

that sounds like a great way to live you life. but i do agree about adv. classes being stupid. im taking bio. a year early, and it is my easiest class so far. the only thing we have done even remotely related to bio, is learn prefixes and suffixes. the rest of the time has been writing about what we did on the first day, which was nothing.

Drum Phil 09-15-2005 02:05 PM

I never said i was staying that way. Im just gonna have to scrape a living by working now.

mine is alot different, we have already had to do a presentation, veiw specimens under a microscope and write a report, write a report on arteries etc. and disect a mouse in the last 2 weeks

spike9908 09-15-2005 02:26 PM

we dont disect anything in this class :upset:. you have to take AP bio. to disect, and you disect a cat in that class because they closly mimic humans or something like that.

We get the choice of Human biology or genetics next year, can't decide. Genetics looks more interesting but is supposed to be very hard.

Well why dont you try to get a job that has some imput with what you want to do with the rest of your live.

Like for example, if you want to be a lawyer, go and work as a clark with a lawyer. As you will learn about law that way.

I want to join the BTP, but there is little chance that they will take me at the moment due to the age/experance factor. So im tempted to get a job as a hobby bobby for the weekends.

spike9908 09-15-2005 03:01 PM

^^ becauase you generally need experience to get hired as anything related to what you want to do, unless you want to work at burger king the rest of your life.

Drum Phil 09-15-2005 03:06 PM

Thats the thing though, the only thing that actually matters to me is music, and pulling in enough cash to support it. Thats it. No riches, no fame.

Not really. One of my freinds got kicked out of school when he was 15 (set fire to the PE block), and now works as a lawyers clark.

FockerTheLopper 09-15-2005 03:32 PM

Wow, what a day at school. Today I really got to meet and talk to 3 drummers in the school band that I'm in, one is really cool been playing for 2 years and although he isn't really good at set he is great at snare. Another kid is pretty close minded and quite annoying, now the other kid is sooo competive it isn't funny... I knew him we're pretty cool we talk w/e so I'm practicing during lunch and he comes in, in the middle of my beat I look up and he's looking at me, I stop say "Can I help you?" scarcasticly, then the annoying goes and says he thinks you suck, then he says, you really need to practice with a metronome. Now I know I play on time becuase I record myself yesterday and the only time where I was off time was when I was about to finish and I was just playing some super quick rimshots the get the agression out(you know, after some nice ol' groovin) Yesterday he was argueing with the annoying kid saying like you suck and you've been playing mad long, and the other kid goes, yeah u take lessons and all that crap. Well anyway now that you know the background today at jazz band he had to play a regular 4/4 backbeat with crossstick on 2 and 4 because it was supposed to be latin feel, and he couldn't play straight eigths, so the teacher kicked him off the set and the other cool kid went and he did alright but he isn't much a of set player. Today I was accually practicing instead of what I normally do(just play around come up with one or two new things) and I came up with some REALLY impressive chops, my sister has a digital cam and if it can take like even 10 second videos I'll put on the little lick that I came up with, well its not only one, its like 2 or 3 based on one, its pretty much a 32nd note fill withing a beat with 8ths on the ride not missing on ride hit. The other thing im working on is the double stroke from tom1 to snare drum which is also unbelievably hard to do right, I did it yesterday no problem when my band was there, but the feedback from the guitars didn't make me hear it all the clearly and now that I did hear it its very bumpy

styler 09-15-2005 04:04 PM

thats sweet dude, but work on sentence structure

poppinfresh 09-15-2005 04:16 PM

Man your college is harsh. Loads of people failed in ours and no one got kicked out. Everyone just resits the exams they did bad in. I failed business studies completely (got a U) but now im dropping it.

poppinfresh 09-15-2005 04:30 PM

punkloserkid, dont give up like that, go to community college or something you need to make a decent living instead of getting crap jobs at fast food places and hoping to make it.
