after taking a 5 month hiatus from learning songs to focus on technique, I realize that 90% of the "solos" on the radio are straight crap.


Thats not to say they werent crap from day one, its just that i have theory that anything i can play, sucks

Not bad. I worked for a few hours today and sent off an application to a music summer camp to maybe be a guitar teacher/counsellor. Things are generally on the upswing since I've been sick.

I was just in Guitar trying to teach someone how to read notes. It's really, really easy for me to teach them in person. On the Internet, it's wayyyyyyyyyy harder. I love teaching this stuff, but it's frustrating not being able to show and write the notation in person for them, and to play it for them.

But hopefully I introduced them to a cool song that's only three (maybe four) chords. One of the first songs I learned.
