Crunchwrap Supreme! 05-13-2006 10:06 PM

Just watched Hostel. There was one intense part at which I broke out laughing.

bottlerocket 05-13-2006 10:12 PM

Hostel was an awful movie.

What part did you laugh at? I don't remember it well.

I laughed when that Asian bitch lost her eye and all that white crap came out.

Haha yeah, that's when I laughed. It was pretty weak though. At least Tarentino movies and movies like Saw balance the senseless gore with a clever plot line. Hostel kind of touched on it with the scene with the rich dude talking about how he couldn't wait to torture the chick. It began to touch on human nature to be evil and how the rich can get their thrills by torturing people. But it was mostly just senseless gore. Pretty cool though.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. You are a menace to society!

Yeah, I dug that part to. Other than that, it was Eli Roth showing us softcore European porn then trying to gross us out for 1 hour but failing miserably.

Perfect example: Pulp Fiction. That movie has a very deep and weird storyline.

bottlerocket 05-14-2006 04:02 PM

Those European girls were hot. I'd hit it.

...but boning a hot girl in the same room as my 2 best friends and some random European dude we met while hitchhiking bone their own hot girls is kinda sketchy.

bottlerocket 05-14-2006 04:12 PM

I didn't. I swear to God. If I did, I would've told you.

I'm not even following through on that because it won't change it and will only encourage him. In fact, I'll unban you right now.
I was going to buy either Thursday/Tool new cd today, but i bought Love Like Electrocution instead because i thought LLE cd is harder to find.. Have i made the right decision?
You have not. Tool reigns supreme. That new album is amazing, f'uck being OOP.

bottlerocket 05-14-2006 04:15 PM

No, you did. LLE > Tool

I've never been a Tool fan. They're OK just not really my bag.

-Gav

deadohiosky9 05-14-2006 04:17 PM

They ar better than LLE. 2 different styles of music, can't really compare. But since he's a Tool fan I'd say the new album would have given him more bang for his buck, than just being OOP.

bottlerocket 05-14-2006 04:19 PM

However, like he said, LLE is tough to find...what are the odds he finds it again?

He can get Tool tomorrow or something.

I made my judgement based on odds of availability, not musical taste.

I say you made the right choice.

I also say you made the correct choice in terms of musical taste because, like I said, I don't like Tool too much. :p

Hostel wasn't that bad. It's one of those movies that you just had to see at the theatre. The crowd reactions were amusing, it's one of those moveis the whole crowd gets into and laughs and actually cheers when things they want to happen happen, like when the girls are hit by the car, or the scene with the guy charging at the main character witht he chainsaw, or the ending in the bathroom. It just wasnt heavy enough on plot.

deadohiosky9 05-14-2006 04:20 PM

Good point, Gav.

EDIT: Hostel is for masochists.

Special Brew 05-14-2006 04:21 PM

I don't like watching modern horror movies, or really movies in general. They're all predictable or boring to me. I'm looking forward to The Da Vinci Code and United 93 coming out next weekend though. Both look very, very interesting.

deadohiosky9 05-14-2006 04:24 PM

United 93 is out over here, I'm looking forward to The Da Vinci Code as well though.

cobert 05-14-2006 04:25 PM

The church made the produciton company of Da Vinci Code take out all the parts that they said were unchristian. So basically, the movie will be Tom Hanks with a creepy haircut throwing a bar of soap out of a window.

That's true...it was pretty funny watching it and hearing the audience. I had this black dude sitting behind me who kept going, "FOR REAL? IS THAT SHIT FOR REAL?!"

The best was when the main character (who was black) owned that dude in the bathroom. The guy in the crowd stood up and said,

"THAT'S HOW WE NIGGAS DO IT! HE AIN'T YOU MASSA NO MORE! MY NIGGAAAAAAAA!"

It was great.

Neeshee: <3

Damien: Both look alright...The DaVinci Code was an OK book, WAY too overhyped. United 93 will be nothing but fantasy loosely based on fact. It's going to be the writers' imaginations running away with them, similar to Titanic.

Cobert: ROFFLLLLLLEEEEE! I hate the Catholic Church; I don't hate Catholics, I just hate the way the Church itself as an institution always forces its religion on others.

Yeah, the part where the three bitches where in front of the car was too good to be true for that dude. He owned them. That fucking dumb asian bitch though. He cut her eye and brought her all that way, just so she could jump in front of the train.

Crunchwrap Supreme! 05-14-2006 04:27 PM

The main character was like indian. He wasn't black

ROFL IT WAS NEESHEE

Have you seen it? If you have, no spoilers, just tell me if it's good or not. :p

I doubt it will be anywhere as good as the book, or even stay true to it, but I still want to see it on screen.

whiteminority 05-14-2006 04:29 PM

The Da Vinci Code movie better be good, because if they fuck it up I will be pissed. That book was fucking awesome.

Except for the end, that was lame.

deadohiosky9 05-14-2006 04:29 PM

I haven't seen United 93.

On another note, Religion is gay.

Crunchwrap Supreme! 05-14-2006 04:29 PM

I'm reading the book right now.

deadohiosky9 05-14-2006 04:30 PM

I need to read the book.

Yeah, it pissed me off that she jumped into the train. Vain bitch, killing herself over her eye. She wouldve been able to wear a radddd eyepatch or something and look like a pirate.
That's true...it was pretty funny watching it and hearing the audience. I had this black dude sitting behind me who kept going, "FOR REAL? IS THAT **** FOR REAL?!"

Sometimes i wish i was black so i could yell funny stuff at movie theatres. When i saw war of the worlds, at the end, i actually stood up and said "**** no, that kid was dead" and left. I thought the main character was indian too, not black.

United 93 never happened!

cobert 05-14-2006 04:31 PM

Why would somebody say 'no spoilers' about united 93, you already know how it ends.
On another note, Religion is gay.
ITP: Neeshee disproves religion.

Actually, my English teacher proved why the Bible was BS. He went on some elaborate theory that made total and complete sense to me when he said it but I forgot it immediately after walking out of the room. He's the man; he's like 24, into some pretty good music (he old school hardcore which is sweet. I've been trying to get him into emo for 2 years but he refuses to be educated), has a sweet life, and is just a wicked awesome guy.

I wish I could remember his theory.
