I gotta be honest, I have zero fucking respect for these whiny fuckers that bitch and moan about 'our lads being treated badly'. They should know good and well that they're going to get treated like shit, it's hardly something that's just happened overnight it's been going on for ages. Also, who makes the UK what it is? The MoD? Not by a long shot, reroute the money into a proper education system and proper health service.
Stop treating people for their own stupidity too, smokers, alcoholics, the obese, the list goes on, they all drain the system because of their stupidity to get themselves in such situations. And don't get me started on fucking benefits, minimum wage is one thing but paying people for 'maybe' trying to find a job is bullshit to the n'th degree and promotes nothing but 'black sheep' syndrome in society. With all this said, I need a sandwich.
well...100% agree with the 2nd paragraph, you reap what you sow imho. the first paragraph, i see why you would think that but the fact that the armed forces are dying in such numbers atm has struck a chord, rightly so. there was a saying when i was in there that "if you can't take a joke you shoudln't have joined" and we knew we were there to be fucked about. that's all part of the job and while it wasn't fun you just got on with it. it was fair enough back then when all we did was ponce around in sunnier places doing the odd exercise and shooting the odd drug smuggler, it's all a bit more serious these days. the lads themselves won't complain (much) but families and opposition politicians will. |
I'm sorry, but am I the only one that thinks that there haven't been that many UK soldiers killed in action in whichever middle eastern country we're hating on at the moment? Several hundred in what, 9 years? Now don't get all "respect human life" on me, I'm just trying to look at it objectively.
|
Agreed, it's a tiny death toll in the grand scheme.
It's also a pointless and hideously expensive campaign that we should have no part of. Every facet of it is just pointless so i've no idea why the fuck we're even bothering with it. |
I dont want to get into the Politics of it all cause that wasnt my point. I was merely trying to converse upon a subject i was watching regarding funding. Haha.
We watched everyone shit on Labour for not supplying our troops with what they needed so i dont wanna see it get cut even more by the new budget. |
Don't get me wrong I don't want to see any of the soldiers suffer, which is why I agree even more with Squirrel; pull them out and there'll be no more deaths, and we'll save a shedload.
To be honest, as much as I could rant about Iraq/whatever, I'm finding Cameron's proposed university funding cuts to be pretty much the most disgusting thing I've read in a long time. http://www.tribunemagazine.co.uk/2010/03/economics-101-don%E2%80%99t-cut-education-in-a-recession/ Yeah it was written about a Labour government, but tbh Labour's cuts were nowhere near as drastic as the ones we're facing at the moment. |
I like how we all agree.
I think being a soldier if hard, no doubt, but it's not like they don't get paid well/get the benefits. Soldiers are soldiers and not martyrs |
SUP LOD.
So, after the bass purchase I realised I needed more space for guitars. So I bought one of those 9-guitar Warwick rockstand guitar racks. Thansk to it, I can now safely store all of my guitars in a SMALLER and more efficient space than before. Recommended! |
I assume it is something like I have. I don't even remember who in the hell made mine. I love how it folds up into a case though.

Nice guitars.
|
What's a good guitar brand/model of steel stringed acoustic that plays pretty easy and much more like an electric... if there is any more particular than others... i have an acoustic here but its almost feels unplayable its pretty annoying
|
You need stronger fingers.
|
i do indeed, but noticing big differences in feel of different acoustics, especially the one i have, its fckin ridiculous
have enough electrics, think the next one will be a nice acoustic |
Acoustics r 4 Pu$$EES
Metal Zone 4 Lyf |
Yamaha APX series.
Also, sup lod. |
If you want an acoustic that plays more like an electric, buy an ovation.
If you want an acoustic that doesn't sound like shit, put some heavier strings on your electrics and man up, you pussies. Light strings and thin necks are two factors you want nowhere near your acoustic tone. They will ruin it and you'll have a muddy bass with tinny highs and no sustain. |
i just use 10's on my acoustics and they sound lovely, one's a takamine EAN40C and the other's a gibbo advanced acoustic so you don't quite need to spill blood to get a good tone! but take your pick of guitars around the same price as the yamaha apx's, they're all decent.
Acoustics r 4 Pu$$EES
Metal Zone 4 Lyf
just as well you got in there before someone else did  |

Joe Satriani is playing in newcastle tomorrow, if you havnt gotten a ticket yet, get one, should be about £30, definitly a cool show
|
Oh for fucks sake, Acoustic Lod? Fuck that. I'm really not a fan of acoustic guitars, but I think that's because I've spent years around people that think they're musicians because they can play the same 4 chords that make up every Oasis song.

yah bro i just learned wonderwall
