Thats pretty much what made me dig that album. Singlehandedly one of the funniest and coolest lyrics in death metal EVER!!! That brought the lulz like no other. But the older albums were better, I'm not arguing that. I was just fairly skeptical about Suffo reforming and I was quite surprised y the record.
Better than reformed Obituary, and you know it.

i haven't really checked out the new obituary yet so i can't comment on that.

I still have yet to hear the new Obituary actually.

Souls to Deny was pretty awful though, it took an album for them to click again I think.

I'm not trying to change your mind (to do that I'd need a couple of hours with you in a deserted warehouse, some needlenose pliers and a blowtorch) but I still don't get this from you. You seem to be very vocal-focussed and John Tardy has possibly THE most distinctive DM voice. His vocals are just amazing.

I do emphasize vocals a lot, but I don't particularly see Tardy's vocals so much as good, rather than I see them as raw and disgusting. I respect him for doing something so distinct as you put it, because he does really have a unique sound, but I just don't like the way it sounds.

Also, that warehouse thing doesn't sound very fun to me. :(

I guess there's a few people out there who don't like the whole re-tardy vocal style. I'm a fan though.

Yep. An oldschool death vocalist I really really like is Ross Dolan from Immolation. He's awesome.

Other great old-school vocalists are of course Martin Van Drunen and Chris Reifert. Kam Lee should also be given Props.
