i put it on my hi-hat rod, underneath my hats. i used a felt inbetween them of course. and my timbale is just sitting on the l-rods, nothing's really holding it in place, just letting gravity do it's job.

sidenote: have you ever thought how different this world would be without gravity? think of everyday things like beds, cars, roads, tv's, houses, etc. whoa.

TV has hit an all time low, Fox is showing some dance show. IT is the worst POS show ever.

NP - King Crimson, One more red nightmare.

Ethan. 09-14-2005 06:14 PM

It's because of the internet.

Ya dude that show is the biggest pos ever. But there are some cool shows out right now, but there is also to extreme of the really really ****ty ones too.

Ill Mitch 09-14-2005 07:07 PM

I can't wait until the new season of Arrested Development. I think besides family guy and the simpsons, its the only good thing on fox.

Coma Divine 09-14-2005 07:55 PM

What other Rush albums are good? I having Moving Pictures, 2112, Farewell to Kings, and Permanent Waves.

Futuro 09-14-2005 08:03 PM
What other Rush albums are good? I having Moving Pictures, 2112, Farewell to Kings, and Permanent Waves.
I thought signals was good and vapor trails had some cool songs on it, Vapor trails was a weird step for them though IMO, if you like live stuff get Rush in Rio DVD, that is a great movie (besides the crowd being so **** loud)

OH and definetly pick up "Fly by night" By-tor and the snow dog is an amazing song. being the first album with peart on it (i believe) They still had to grow into there sound, but its still one of my favorite albums. And if you ever pick up "all the worlds a stage" The instrumental section is lengthened quit a bit.

Coma Divine 09-14-2005 08:08 PM

I have Rush in Rio. :D

Futuro 09-14-2005 08:12 PM
I have Rush in Rio.
Have you ever watched the behind the scenes footage, some of it is hilarious. Very cool DVD set

Double Bass Jim 09-14-2005 08:14 PM

PowerStamp 09-14-2005 08:49 PM

$10 or $12 each makes it much more worth it.
Throw in shirts costing either $10 or $12 or $15 and CDs $10, etc. and it's not as expensive looking.

Good shows on TV IMO:
Family Guy
American Dad
Aqua Teen Hunger Force (Volume 4 in December, can't wait)

Purchases today:

Burnout Legends (PSP)
Night of the Living Dead DVD (Classic version. There's a redone color version, but I didn't want that.)
Old School Unrated DVD
Van Wilder Unrated DVD

Purchases last night at the show:

Walls of Jericho's first CD
Walls of Jericho shirt
Walls of Jericho belt
Misery Signals hat)
lol

Ok story time.

So during Misery Signals' set, I felt something hit the top/back of my head, and a guy grabbed my shoulder and said sorry, apparantly he'd hit me, with his elbow or something.

So the whole set goes on, VERY AWESOME, great band. Eventually the lights come on for a second and the guy says I'm bleeding, apologizes again, etc. I reach up and yep, I'm bleeding! lol
Apparantly he'd actually hit me with his teeth, he'd been pushed forward when I was moving back or something, and got me.

So after their set, he says sorry again, it's cool and he runs off somewhere to do something else or whatever. My friend notices and says it's running down my neck, so I take off my shirt (Which happened to be white, of course. Already bloody at the neck) and pat it all, try to clean it up. Pour some water over my head, go buy a Walls of Jericho shirt and threw it on lol

Great show though, best I've seen in awhile.

Win A Rabbit 09-14-2005 08:56 PM

i just got new shoes. it's about time, too. i had my old shoes for almost 3 years now, and they had huge holes on the insides of them.

unfortunately for me, i have wide feet, and shoes nowadays are all made to fit like a glove, so the only shoes that ever fit me at stores are those really dorky nike shoes with checkmarks and lines and colors everywhere.

my new shoes

my mom wanted to buy me 2 new pairs of shoes so she wouldn't have to look for shoes ever again (she's been trying to get me shoes for a few months now) but i convinced her not to.

rockindrummer 09-14-2005 09:28 PM

^ Nice shoes sic. I need new ones myself pretty badly.

That sounds like a pretty awsome concert powerstamp.

Double Bass Jim 09-14-2005 09:51 PM

Hahaha what a combo.

Win A Rabbit 09-14-2005 10:05 PM

the thing i don't like about my new shoes is they only have 6 holes on each side. i've always laced my shoes the same, but with these, the laces come out the ways on the last hole, which makes them a bit tighter around the ankle than if they went in.

oh well, i can live with it.

well i have homework to do, coloring maps according to democracies and dictatorships. i hate doing maps in social, it's always the same thing, just for different reasons. last year it was labelling them according to population, death rate, blah blah blah.

did you know that timbuktu is actually spelled "tombouctou" ? i just found that out today.

Seafroggys 09-14-2005 10:27 PM

****. I've graduated this June from high school, and I'm playing in a band with two guys who are still in that high school. We got signed up to play for both lunches on friday, so now I have to go back to my high school and play 4-5 songs per lunch to a bunch of kids :(

I'm so embarresed, but playing gigs is worthwhile, I love playing shows, even if its as bad as this one.

rockindrummer 09-14-2005 10:37 PM

It won't be that bad man, a shows a show.

Night of the Living Dead DVD (Classic version. There's a redone color version but I didn't want that.)
Dude, that movie is great!

The colour version is good aswell. You get to see Tom Savini's effects real close...

Double Bass Jim 09-15-2005 12:27 AM

It most certainly was, one of the best.

Double Bass Jim 09-15-2005 01:31 AM

On another note I went over to GC and checked out the drum off rig.

It's a nice little gretsch kit with a 10" popcorn snare on the side, hopefully I have time to get it up in front as a 3rd rack tom  Not many cymbals, they mostly had AAX's set up id say around 6 cymbals.

Looked decent though.

PowerStamp 09-15-2005 02:42 AM

If Musicians Friend participated in that, I'd so do it. The closest Guitar Center though is in St. Louis, a 4 hour drive. Meh.

Yeah, I'll probably check out the color version of Night awhile later.
I was gonna buy Dawn of the Dead too (Romero), but they had a special edition with 4 discs. Europe/Italian/2 other versions and Romero's original, for $30! That's a great deal but exceeded what I wanted to spend so next check: hell yeah.

Double Bass Jim 09-15-2005 02:44 AM

Ohh man id buy those

PowerStamp 09-15-2005 02:48 AM

Heck yeah, all kinds of bonus features too.

Oh check this out. I was browsing eBay and just found this:
