Yeah, that was the one thing I noticed skimming through. There's NO fast numbers. At least Reckoning Night had a few.

Rhapsody's ballads suck, save for Magic Of The Wizard's Dream. Again, because Christopher Lee sings on it.

Funny little note...I have 6 different versions of that track.

Verikansa 04-06-2007 05:17 AM

i have the one without christopher lee singing, can you send one with him singing?

Actually, I think it was a video I had of them. I'll see what I can do, but my computer hates uploading videos.

New Sonata Arctica is...interesting. I'm not sure if I like it or not...

Stormrider 04-06-2007 03:28 PM
Eh. Maybe you just fail at life then.
No, that's the only SA album I ever got, and I didn't like it either.

So yay me and Deth !

Stoic 04-06-2007 03:33 PM

I don't like Sonata Arctica much either. :-\

pate 04-06-2007 03:46 PM

I don't either...

FatalEnergy 04-06-2007 03:53 PM

The live album is the best.

shadow_stalker 04-08-2007 06:17 AM

well Blind Guardian's 'tales from the twilight world' came yesterday and i have to say it ****ing rocks, i think my favourite part of the whole album could be the drums they sound so awesome

Stormrider 04-08-2007 07:58 AM

Last BG album I bought. Good stuff. One of my favorite parts of the whole album is Last Candle's chorus.

there's hope for everyone
when the last candle burns high

now I feel it's growing up in me
now I feel it's burning deep in me

I still love Lord Of The Rings the best. Maybe because I saw it live, but I dunno.

Stoic 04-08-2007 10:59 AM

It has an amazing feeling on the album at least.
Hey, this is not the BG thread!
/random

Shattered_Future 04-08-2007 11:02 AM

It's close enough. :smash:

So, as pate had posted earlier, who's extremely excited for Edguy's US tour?

Stormrider 04-08-2007 11:09 AM

Lord of the Rings is a really great song. Rivals Bard Song IMO.

pate 04-08-2007 05:46 PM

LotR is one of my handful of favorite BG songs.

Yay Edguy tour.

shadow_stalker 04-08-2007 06:29 PM

Considering how Blind Guardian claim to be big fans of tolkien and LotR it was pretty shoddy of them to **** up the lyrics, on the part where it says "seven rings to the gnoms in their halls made of stone", it should be dwarfs...unless gnoms is German for dwarf.

when i saw Edguy support Dragonforce they promised us another UK tour, i want my tour damnit >.<

Deth 04-08-2007 08:35 PM

Every band ever is going to promise to return quickly. It's called PR.

And Dream Evil aren't coming here, just like everyone else.

Shattered_Future 04-08-2007 09:12 PM

Didn't Dream Evil play 1 show in the US?

Eh, they're worthless without Snowy anyways.

shadow_stalker 04-09-2007 05:49 AM

i got United but it is kind of pants, there are a couple good songs but overall the 'meh' value is pretty dominant

Stoic 04-09-2007 05:57 AM

I think gnoms is the same with dwarves in european tradition.

Here you go:

Fix'd.

I like United a lot, but meh...

Yeah, but gnoms goes better with stone then dwarf does :p

heheheh

Gus I could care less about. He was a good guitarist, but he didn't write anything.

pate 04-09-2007 12:30 PM

His solos made some of the songs though.

Headlining with Into Eternity supporting, yay!

BTW, Symphony X just added a whole bunch of U.S. dates, they'll be here the week before Edguy :chug:

Shattered_Future 04-09-2007 06:16 PM

We have a show of theirs on May 25th.

Only thing is I don't think Sanctity is supporting them on that date, which is a bit disappointing for me. I wanted to go see them again.

Shattered_Future 04-16-2007 12:58 PM

Bump for the fact that I found Heed's demo.

metalmusicforever.blogspot.com

It's on there somewhere...not too far from the top, I believe.

publicastration 04-16-2007 01:00 PM

Anyone like Outworld?

I just got into them, They're currently my favorite Prog/Power metal band.

pate 04-16-2007 03:29 PM

They're pretty enjoyable.

Tyler 04-16-2007 03:34 PM

I think they're horrible. Rusty Cooley and people like him should never be allowed to make music, and their vocalist is terrible.
