Anyone have the new Kreator cd? Enemy of god.
Thoughts? I got it last friday and I must say it kicks massive ***.
Everyone seems to talk about it, so I'm downloading it. We'll see what my opinion is.
Glad you liked the album
 |
I don't know if we've covered this, but I found a link off of GetThrashed that lead me to this:
http://netbroadcaster.com/new/publicaccess/realitycheck.html# There's a video for the Thrash of The Titans back in 2001. After watching it, I felt enlightened...weird XD It's really good. Probably the best 30 minutes you can get besides a decent show or great album (e.g. Chemical Exposure/Reign in Blood) |
The video wouldn't work for me. :-\
Anyone have the new Kreator cd? Enemy of god.
Thoughts? I got it last friday and I must say it kicks massive ***.
Too much Gothenburg influences wich makes most of the album a throw away. Why can't they be like Destruction or Exodus and play some full aggressive thrash? Because they are lame, but whatever. There is a few good songs on it, I enjoyed the title track, Murder Fantasies, and World Anarchy, but in World Anarchy they kind of **** on the song with that mellow part at the end. It makes me wonder what the hell they were thinking  |
I stuck to the original Titans of Thrash status.
I had an odd feeling I'd be a poseur if I tried to be a part of "Death To Poseurs". Today though was a bitch, probably failed my performance portion of the tech exam, but I was at school almost until 5:30, just trying to fix that drawing...gah I hate designing crap. So normally as I would be all whacked out and hyper, I'm pissed and angered because I didn't get to eat, I had to piss, and I was really pissed about the way the drawing was coming out. Luckily, I have some thrash to listen to :) . That'll make it all better. Edit: Make that one of the best thrash bands from America... Yes...that's right...OVERKILL! *listens to !!!**** YOU!!! (And Then Some)
yeah, not very many people are using the orginal titan status anymore....kind of a shame |

I kinda got bored with the MX Titans of Thrash title. Link doesnt seem to work for me, however i have seen bits of that before i think.
Yeah, it's not really very good is it. Anybody ever heard any Chilean Thrash? I was on Audiostreet the other day and the thing was packed with it. Not too good mind you, which was a shame.
NP: Nocturnal Fear - Holocaust The Heretic
Torturer, Pentagram. Excellent bands. \m/ Oh, and by the way, it was my intention to start a forum-wide flame war with the DtP thing. It worked. :) |
You must be pretty bored with life if you get your kicks from forum flame wars. Yeah, I've heard Pentagram, but not Torturer. I'll have a gallop around and see if I can find anything by them. Oh yeah, everyone check out a band called Militant on Audiostreet and download a track called Nazgul. It's either I'm going mad or that's Venom - Black Metal in disguise.
http://www.audiostreet.net/artist.aspx?artistid=12556 NP: Heathen - Timeless Cell of Prophecy |
I thought Torturer and Pentagram were from Venezuela? Anyways, now that you say they're from Chile, I have heard Chilean thrash. Silly me!
|
Too many countries in South America eh? Seen as how you're here, check out that Nazgul song.
|
Already have! One-man thrash band, if I recall. He sent me that link when I was chatting with him in the M-A IRC channel.
The song was decent. |
It was alright, but don't you think it sounded like Venom - Black Metal?
Also! what the **** was up with the production of it? sounds like he recorded it on his computer microphone. |
Yeah, it kinda did!
I think I remember him saying he used a four-track to record that. |
Everyone check out Apex at www.theapexempire.co.uk
Theres a song on there up for download, i'm getting a free copy of the demo too :D |
Broken link. :(

Bugger
Try this http://www.theapexempire.co.uk/ |
Works. :thumb:

CATCHY AZ FVCK!!! Good stuff!
|
They're quite young too, i think they just finished school last year. Reminds me of Death Angel in a way
|
That means that we'll be seeing more of them in the future, I hope.
|
I hope so too, as long as they dont break up :p
I talk with the singer on MSN :D |

I like the mellow parts on the cd. Its not what you expect from thrash, thats why I like it so much. |
Ok, so, Mortal Sin - Mayhemic Destruction isn't bad, but it's a bit less extreme than I was looking for. For some reason I expected it to be brutal ripping thrash.
Wargasm are excellent. Top-notch riffwriting. Now, whoever doesn't have Sacrifice - Torment in Fire. GET IT! X 10 000 It's like... extreme speed metal. Fuck yes, indeed. I can't believe I delayed getting it for so long. I just read that it cost them $500 to record, and two days elapsed between recording and the finished, mastered copy. RAW OLDSCHOOL METAL! EDIT2: I guess I better give Corporal credit for getting me into Sacrifice. NP: Overkill - Birth of Tension The chorus part in this song is awesome. Now, here's the question: Are Living Death any good, and if so, what are they like and what's the best album? |
I liked Enemy of God, my favorite song is Dying Race Apocalypse.

Funny you should mention it... that song is my guilty pleasure :p |

Torment In Fire is a definite winner... just like Fred's Slacks.
Feel! My! Homicidal Breath! |
Soldiers of Misfortune is another great Sacrifice album.
|
Dargon: I think that guy called Bonzo in the guitarists group C thread may deserve a visit from the DtP crew, I already called him an 'Ignorant prick' but I'll probably take a whole load of flak over that. I believe his words were to the effect of 'Megadeth or some other stupid metal band'. I hope he gets fucked in the ass with a razor dildo :p
