For R&M...the only user I saw that I think deserves them that has no stars is Dancin' Man. He writes up good threads and is really helpful. I'm not too caught up with the newest regulars here though because of my absence.
|
Yes I agree that Dancin' Man deserves rep aswell.
|
Sorry Zep2K3, Im only gonna do R&Mer's for now. Maybe once we get everyone deserving in here done, and if other areas don't have active mods I'll do some there.

That's cool, I figured that'd be the answer, but I thought I'd ask just in case. The two on my list are Steerpike and Dancin' Man then. |
I've never though uploading lots of music makes someone a great user :-\
|
I believe zep should have stars too :)
|
I rep people who are most helpful in my thread since it helped me out while I was at home. I still do, but it's a lot less frequent because I don't want people thinking they get rep from me just because they upload a song. I have some criteria for repping, anyway, so it doesn't look commonplace.
Well they're good posters aside from that. But what does make a great user? Effort, helpfulness, friendliness?
All of the above, and in addition just setting a good example, helping the mods out, contributing to the community. The problem with a lot of ysi helpers is I rarely see them anywhere else in the forum, and good users contribute all over, not just in one thread. It' be like being the most knowledgeable person in the Tool thread. Sure you help there, but that doesn't make you a good user in all of R&M... |
Sounds cool to me man, the more info the better, crap threads get crap results. If you really want to make it a popular thread reference hot monkey lust.
Also, I am compiling my list for the next series of R&Mers to get rep. So, Im open for suggestions!
Lunch! Definitely Lunch. His series is my personal favorite, and he's just an overall kickarse user. |
I second the Lunch.
http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9378610&postcount=3 Completely pointless post. Maybe a 12 hour ban, but I don't know, I'm not a mod, I also don't know if I sould be reporting this, but oh well. |

Would anyone have a problem if I posted a biography/article (my own writing if there is any confusion) on John Bonham in R&M? I was concerned for two reasons:
-I didn't want to do an article on Led Zeppelin because they have been covered in Med's FA and almost everyone is familiar with them. -Which led me to focusing mostly on Bonham and his drumming over his career, which could go into D&P I suppose since R&M isn't concetrated on just one instrument. I'm sort of torn about whether I should post it. Since it's about drumming it doesn't seem like something worthy of R&M, but since he is a rock drummer and a rock legend in some senses and that is mainly what I discuss, it could warrant being posted here. |
