Deth. Yeah...IN EUROPE

Shattered_Future 04-04-2007 09:51 PM

I'd go see Iced Earth. That I wouldn't mind.

Stormrider 04-04-2007 09:53 PM

Yeah, same.(obviously)

I can't wait for that EP in May. Atleast, it will make something to look foward to in the mean time of the full length in late August/early Spetember.

Stoic 04-05-2007 06:14 AM

Jammie, have you seen Iced Earth live?

Stormrider 04-05-2007 06:38 AM

Nope. Watch this, when they'll come, it'll be somewhere around the 2 weeks in Summer or Christmas that I'll be gone and won't be able :p

if that happens...pfft...

Stoic 04-05-2007 06:41 AM

/pictures Jammie at an Iced Earth live show...

Stormrider 04-05-2007 06:44 AM

Am I being crushed or something ?

Stoic 04-05-2007 06:46 AM

hmm...you could say so :naughty:

:p

Seriously though it's weird that you've seen the german band and not the american one! Lol, Iced Earth are coming in greekie land I think.

Stormrider 04-05-2007 06:50 AM

Yeah, they are. Go and see them :p

IE just havn't toured since, heh.

Stoic 04-05-2007 06:53 AM

Meh, 500km away.
$hitallica, Heaven And Hell, Dream Theater, Iced Earth, Anathema, Kinetic
Stormrider 04-05-2007 06:57 AM

Oh, I see. Would you go if they were closer ?

pate 04-05-2007 07:32 AM
Bumpage for the fact that the new Kamelot single is extremely good. Sounds like their older stuff (Karma era, maybe) with the production and orchestrations of The Black Halo.
Can you uploady for me?

Stoic 04-05-2007 08:14 AM
Oh, I see. Would you go if they were closer ?
Sure. I'm thinking of getting Alive in Athens DVD too. In fact even if Im not fan of the band I like DVDs, I should get some.

Stormrider 04-05-2007 08:19 AM

Oh, nice. Don't expect the best out of the DVD as far as camera's and overall budget goes though. Unless you knew already...

With that said, I love the DVD. Too bad they didn't let Schaffer edit it a bit further though.
Can you uploady for me?
I sent it into the DU. Should be coming around sooner or later.

pate 04-05-2007 03:24 PM

You own.

Shattered_Future 04-05-2007 05:34 PM

I'm well aware.

Shattered_Future 04-05-2007 07:42 PM

Double post, but I have another act of godliness:

http://metalmusicforever.blogspot.com/

Unia by Sonata Arctica is on there.

Deth 04-05-2007 07:46 PM

I haven't heard great things about the new Sonata Arctica. Heard it's slower, and if I'm listening to Sonata, it better be **** fast.

Shattered_Future 04-05-2007 07:48 PM

Well, coming from someone who thinks Reckoning Night is their best album, this one furthers the sound they were trying to get on that album.

I like that they're writing music like this now. They wrote some unbelievable fast songs; to write anymore would make them sound bad.

Deth 04-05-2007 07:53 PM

I didn't like Reckoning Night very much :(

Nothing really grabbed me on the album.

Shattered_Future 04-05-2007 07:54 PM

Eh. Maybe you just fail at life then.

Deth 04-05-2007 08:06 PM

Likely.

Verikansa 04-05-2007 08:06 PM

I like there fasrer stuff than there slow stuff but they do write good slow stuff, and Toni's got the voice for it.

Deth 04-05-2007 08:13 PM

Yeah, Sonata are one of the power metal bands who can write a ballad. Some bands *cough* Rhapsody *cough* shouldn't be allowed to try.

Verikansa 04-05-2007 08:21 PM

well that one with christopher lee was pretty bad *** if not just for the fact that Christopher Lee is in it.

actually now that I look back there not that bad at ballads.

Deth 04-05-2007 08:25 PM

Christopher Lee is so cool that numbers cannot quantify it.

The problem is that Fabio oversings on everything and it doesn't lend well to slow songs (IMO of course).

Verikansa 04-05-2007 08:28 PM

i guess, hmmm listening to new Sonata album and most is mid tempo, The Harvest is pretty cool and a little faster, but im ****in pissed because im not hearing and key solos.

edit: nvm there they are :) hmmm not too bad the mid tempo thing gets annoying but they got some decently fast song, pretty normal sonata.
