The Cramps remind of sex, and guitars.

Hey do you have L's "Holy Letters".

I'm placing my order this week and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it.

OrbDragon 09-09-2005 04:38 AM

Zero 7 - Simple Things is quite an addicting album...it's so layback.

I'm also digging Elbow - Cast Of Thousands...that's a pretty underrated album IMO.

I'm gay now am I?

Yes, I have that album. It's okay(pretty out there), but I'd take Ghost over them. I probably won't upload it, cuz I'll have no computer access for a few weeks.

Bought this for $1. Not bad, but not what I expected at all. Pretty dark album, even for GOF.[/QUOTE]

It's a good 3/5 I think.

Tangy zizzle 09-09-2005 03:52 PM

Generic Flipper falls between 3.5-4.5 depending on the mood you're in.

Tangy zizzle 09-09-2005 04:05 PM

But you're a Melvins fan...

Tangy zizzle 09-09-2005 04:49 PM

For some reason I thought they were screamy like GB. Better than what I expected.

Alt/Indie is a MASSIVE catch-all category including everything from Radiohead to Joy Division to Belle & Sebastian to the Killers. Alternative and Indie as genres alone are also vague descriptions which hold countless bands that can sound nothing alike. The bands I listed are all very good though. :)

Sparta is would generally be considered alternative (along with many other things), yes.

Alt/Indie is music like REM and the theme song to Pete and Pete.

Or in general, any music you would play to try and impress a girl is probably alt/indie.

Zmev 09-10-2005 02:06 AM

Nirvana were a cool indie band, try starting there.

Anyways, I now see why Captain Beefheart is liked so much, took me long enough.
