A joint is the meeting place of two bones surrounded by a thick and clear liquid called synovial fluid and ligaments. When you crack your knuckles, you're pulling apart the joint, thus increasing the volume of the synovial fluid.

Now, pressure is inversely proportional to volume. As volume goes up, pressure goes down. and vice versa. As the volume increases, the pressure of the fluid decreases.

We know the three phases are solid, liquid, and gas. When you expand the volume, the pressure keeping the fluid a liquid decreases, thus causing the fluid to turn into gas in the form of bubbles.

Basically, you crack your knuckles, bubbles are created in the synovial fluid, the bubbles pop, causing knuckles to crack.

It takes about half an hour for the bubbles to re-diffuse into the synovial fluid, hence why you can't crack your knuckles in rapid succession.

im just wondering if there is a set name for tempos?
because many of the tempos on pwertab have a phrase by them eg- 160bpm = moderately fast rock
or is this just something the tabber puts in to help?

this is irritating me - a friend of mine got asked to play bass for the jazz band the other day - and he was at their first rehearsal today
the music teacher at my school asked him - i just get irritated that because the music teacher doesnt like me i dont get asked to do stuff like this - and i know im better than my friend, the whole reason i chose not to do gcse music was cos of how much i dislike the music teacher lol

i can find something i hate about every single solo bassist, but i dont listen to music for bass ability thats why i listen to indie and emo and hardcore (sometimes hardcore doesnt even have a bass player)

Same thing here, bass isn't an instrument which HAS TO BE PLAYED solo. I don't even like it as a solo instrument! Only on POT and with some songs from Sheephead :lol:

I play bass because I like the tone and there needs to be a solid thing in the band and I WAS a guitarist someday and they needed a bass player :lol:

But got more attracted to it and blabla :thumb:
