How does this sound gice?
also, any damages will have to be paid for.

...
also, i know that the 5-40s arent playing, but still, i DO NOT want people jumping on my bass drum. if they do i'll take the right to use my kit away.

hahahaha.. and just how do you plan on enforcing that?

someone jumps on the kick in the middle of a song you just gonna go out there and say 'ok thats it, shows over, i want my kit'? lol

Corkofski 03-10-2007 05:38 AM

hangover?

Pleaseme 03-10-2007 06:04 AM

I was so close to doing that once. Some dipshit band who thought they were really hardcore started kicking the crap out of other peoples equipment, and the drummer was loughing away at my cymbals, and I almost pulled the plug that powered the amps and mixing desk.

Cork- I wish, I haven't drunk anything since wednesday :(

Jeff 03-10-2007 06:46 AM
yes.
uh yeah... and how do you plan on making them pay for damages?

Corkofski 03-10-2007 06:51 AM

bill them

and they are all at college with me. not like they can bugger off and not come back. i'll get them to agree to it before they touch my kit. otherwise they dont play.

That's going to do two things:

1) Majorly inhibit your chances of hooking up with a girl in the audience for some casual sex after the show.

2) Give yourself, and your band, a bad reputation. Don't expect to be asked back to the venue or even surrounding venues if word gets out.

1) Drums>slags

2) If having your beloved gear remain intact = a bad reputation....then so be it.

True musicians would respect anyone who takes care of their equipment. The only people you'd get bad rep from would be n00bs who don't give a sh!t about their stuff.....who nobody cares about anyway.

Charlie Daniels 03-10-2007 07:15 AM

heh if by "nobody" you mean the mxtabs forum (but then again, it is a forum full of nobodies so I guess your right :p)

The punters in the club come for music, and most of them can't distinguish the difference between good and bad music after 6 or 7 pints. Even if they are being jerkoffs, don't make a scene like that. It's seriously not an option to stop a band once they are onstage infront of an audience. Don't take your own kit if you think it might come it. If they say "no kit/no gig" then don't take the gig.

Retarded Chipple 03-10-2007 07:26 AM

Good point.

I normally try to avoid using my kit at gigs for the same reason...

fishbulb 03-10-2007 11:18 AM

Hmm, didn't even play drums last night since my friend wanted to skate with me.

Drinking sucks...

I'm probably the only person to be into Oi! and Streetpunk that's ever said that. But it does, so whatever.

scottyhons 03-10-2007 01:11 PM

Hmmmm.... looks like it's been a few pages since someone popped in to introduce themselves. So this should take care of that.

Hey everyone. I'm Scott, and i'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I started out playing drums in grade 7, and have been playing ever since. I joined a marching band in grade 8 and was in it for 5 years, as well as playing drums in the school concert band, jazz band, and musical pit orchestras. I then went to university for music, and although i learned a lot while i was there, it wasn't really for me. It was more orchestral stuff, and i want to do more kit. anyways, i then left university and played with a band for about 5 years or so. That band has ended, and i just started playing in a new band about 5 months ago. so far it's going great.

i use a 5 piece birch custom absolute, various cymbals and sticks, and evans heads.

Glad to be here.

Does anyone know much about the UK law for road legal quad bikes, and the rules about quadbikes. Can't seem to find much on the internet.

I'm guessing you have to be 16, and it has to be 50cc or under? Tax? Registration plate? Any other features on the quadbike like wheel guards or foot guards?

Banshee 03-10-2007 02:59 PM

It's gotta be below 50cc, taxed, MOT'd, licence plate, an you gotta wear a helmet.
I'm pretty sure of those anyway, my cousin has one.
EDIT: Found this site:

Seafroggys 03-10-2007 05:44 PM

hey guys I sat down and a line of 20 chics went down and sucked my dick one at a time for a minute, then they'd go to the back of the line and the next chic would go down. When I was about to go, I'd get as many as I can and try to shoot as many as I could until I was spent.

Do I win?

Static 03-10-2007 05:46 PM

yeah.

The Ska Man 03-10-2007 05:47 PM
