12 days until iron maiden lalalalala
that is every metalheads mecca - to see maiden, well every true metaller |
Be honest, how good were all the MXers?
No lying just because they might read the post! :D |
^ I'm not a big metal fan...it just never did it for me.
Maiden's still pretty sweet, though. :) :thumb: -Gav |
Be honest, how good were all the MXers?
No lying just because they might read the post! :D
I know I'm not good at bass, so I'm prepared. :p Quatre was just as good as I pictured him...I mean, come on. I saw him double thumb Donna Lee. :p Phil was sort of a let down...he always told me in IMs that he was the best bassist he's ever met...he was a REALLY good bassist but I think I had really high expectations for him. I expected him to be Quatre-like. Matt (ToolBox) was A LOT better than I thought. I thought he'd be a n00b. I barely saw Andrew play...:upset: Jorge was just as I pictured him. At Daddy's Junky Music, Jorge absolutely NAILED the last note on Portrait of Tracy...like, it was SO PERFECT! He got up and jumped around... Ed was AWESOME at bass, although I never really talked to him on the forums...:p Tryxx was awesome at bass, too...he was better than I thought he would be. :thumb: -Gav |

Honestly, they were all amazing.
Phil, no offense man, was a lot better than I thought he would be. Not that I thought he would be bad, but he's so **** good IMO. He can lay down a niiice groove. Quatre was amazing. Nothing he's posted on here is like him in person, both personality and playingwise. Bassguin was as good as I had thought, because I'd hear him on YIM a lot. Toolbox was good. Jorge was amazing, and such a cool guy too. Gav was Gav, he seemed exactly like I thought he would. **** good player too. Tryxx was a good player as well, and a good guy all around. And then there was me... I learned almost as much just being around these guys as I did in the classes, especially from Phil and Josh. |
Love that shop. :thumb:
Yeah, at this one, there was a Fretless American Fender Jazz bass...in short, it was absolute sex. There was also a Line 6 Variax bass, but they didn't have batteries for it. :upset: :thumb: -Gav |
^ I'm not a big metal fan...it just never did it for me.
Maiden's still pretty sweet, though. :) :thumb: -Gav
see spaceman - he can be nice even if i take the piss out of his music and yes - maiden are teh secks |
