Depends what store you go to , really. Robitussin and Delsym syrups are always on shelves, but it's not uncommon for something with obvious abuse potential like Coricidin to be locked up behind the counter with the Sudafed.

two bottles in a gallon jug, fill it to the top with water, shake vigorously. let see for a good few hours until powder starts to settle at the bottom, then drain out all the liquid.
