I've just downloaded Dreamtheaters version of Number of the Beast (album), and it's quite bizarre. It doesn't have the right feel to it.

i tell, you, its the keyboard, the horrible singing voice and the 6 string bass.... :mad: May frogs rain upon the 6 strings :angry:

i can imagine it would sound quite strange.
i like dream theater though.

their music is a perfect ball... it might be sweet to look at for a while, but it soon turns boring, while a more bumpy one will hold your intrest a little longer(if you like to study balls that is...)

Me likes Iron Maiden

Dream Theater is a band full of great musicians, but they treat music as a competition more than an art form. The execution is flawless, but the lyrics are really unimaginative and the keyboard overkill makes every song sound like an anime soundtrack or something.

Fine band, but they're no Maiden.

Hehe, LaBrie is a fine singer, but he really does whine a lot. Bruce is a much better singer, in terms of tone and range.
