Youth of today... Tch..

Anyway, I have a Classical Civilisation exam in about 20 minutes. I need to leave to go to it in a few minutes, so wish me luck :)

Succes with it! :thumb:
You can do it. AHA AHA.

And you're right, bass isn't superior.

And eddie: nothing is better than adjusting and making your own stuff. Or at least personalize it a bit :p

Thunder Fingers 06-13-2005 06:38 AM

Jeeez! I Better Get that done today, and i better get it properly done today, i have a gig tomorrow, and my band wont let me play with My Jazz Bass(I never thought, that the band would care that much about my bass sound.. but people, they REALY do.. )

kilian 06-13-2005 06:50 AM

^^Do they? They don't have that with me.. maybe because I'm a sort of guy that wants everything perfect :p

Thunder Fingers 06-13-2005 07:07 AM

I think they realy love the sound of my p bass.. you should have seen their faces when i struck the first note..

kilian 06-13-2005 07:49 AM

HA
That's nice!

I hate my amp today :upset: or my bass.. everything sounds like WOOD. Not a tone, just WOOD. Maybe I need new strings =\ I use flatwounds...?

Thunder Fingers 06-13-2005 07:52 AM

Flatwounds often sound like wood... and sometimes they dont.. is it rotosounds? i have noticed that Rotosound Jazz Strings and Fender Jazz Basses dont fit well togheter... they do Fit P bass though.

D@mnit! cant my mom come home? I need Transport to that store to get files!

kilian 06-13-2005 08:15 AM

No they are 'boston' flatwounds. CHEAP. I don't know, they sounded perfect when I put them on, but lately I am thinking all the time: hmm they don't sound so good anymore.

Maybe I'm going to look at a few Rotosound Monel flatwound strings.. They are made from a special alloy that gives them some brightness. Or maybe I open up a thread for suggestions :naughty:

Thunder Fingers 06-13-2005 08:20 AM

I have Rotosounds, and i have used Flatwounds on a couple of occasions, and im so happy with the rotosounds that im not gonna use anything else...(i first bought them becouse Steve Harris used them, and then figured out "Hey, this was awsome strings!" )

bassist-bmxer 06-13-2005 08:27 AM

Eddie, In your avatar what does Steve have written on his shirt? this has bugged me for a while now.

kilian 06-13-2005 08:28 AM

Are they still growly? I miss that with the strings i have now.. they are a bit dull I think? Cutting through.. but could use a little less thump and some more growl and aggressive attitude.

flatwounds -----------my strings----------------------------roundwounds

^^ That's what I want I think

if there is any growlyness in Flatwound, Rotosound's have it atleast when they are brand new.

but there is quite a big difference beetwen jazz and precision basses, so think they will be even more growly if you have the bridge pup on a jazz at full.

How we going, everyone?

muthagoose 06-13-2005 09:12 AM

I'm looking for the version of Stairway to Heaven that Havic did, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I've searched the forums, but I can only find the tab for it. Is there anybody who can upload it somewhere or send it to me over msn or something? My msn info is in my profile.

Thanks in advance! :-*

gaslight 06-13-2005 09:18 AM

I think pink floyd are overrated.. too many people say that they are pioneers in music but still I find their musc dull...

Contact me on AIM for it. My screenname is in my user profile :)

Havic took it off his SoundClick page because of legal issues, but I have a copy of it in my music library.
