So, I'm going to play at a party but we're playing gay songs from Green Day, Blink 182, and one Offspring song, a hardcore song, and Sum 41. Strange combination and i dont really like that music but it should be fun anyways.

It sounded quite good actually, because we had a real vocalist singing it, not a talentless whining pre-teen.

Unfortunately the lyrics still sucked, but there is a pretty nice bass fill in the second verse of [i]Breathing[/i].

I wouldn't know, only ever heard 2 songs and never bothered to venture further into it after the quality of those :lol:

Yeah, this is the only song I've heard by them. One of the singers in my ensemble class wanted to do it so I learnt it and it all came together quite well really.

Gaslight, I didnt know that song was Mogwai!

Interesting. I really need to get my hands on one and play it... because I've been getting a lot of mixed messages about 'em by word of mouth. Only problem is is that there aren't any Musicman dealers nearby here, I think...

I'll have to see what Musicians Friend's return policy is like.

Oh yeah, a lot of Mogwai songs have come up in strange places on TV.

One was used in a Levi's Ad, one in a skate video, two songs even appeared on Sex In The City.

I only wish. I've been wanting to try one for a while, but according to the Musicman dealer index (on their website), there's no one near me who deals their products. Oh well.

I think this summer I might be taking a trip to Elderly or something... they're sure to have something there for me.

Mmm... this is the best evening I've had in weeks. We have the big sliding glass door open (it's actually getting warm... in Maine!!), so we can hear the little mini waterfall fountain thing outside, I'm watching Rush Hour, posting here on my laptop, and eating Italian Ice. Summer rocks...

Now if only I didn't have two weeks of school left...

Unfortunetaly, that means I have four final exams left. And two of those are pretty massive, time consuming projects. My evening is going to be long and excruciating. ;)

I just had to pass in two massive projects Friday. Whatever I get on those is pretty much my 4th quarter grade for their respective classes. I also have a test in every class next week, THEN I have a week of finals...

Let's see...

Monday: Spanish, then I have to present my Sociology project/portfolio.

Tuesday: Theory (Music), then I present my English exam paper.

And last week was a serious nerve-wrecker. I was up quite late starting and finishing my American Studies exam the night before it was due- and I never even got to print it. Since our printer wasn't cooperating, I was forced to paste the entire paper onto Livejournal, contact the computer/network administrator at the school in the morning so that I could be allowed onto the site to print the **** paper off.

Though my chem exam went a lot better than I thought, so that was cool.
