No, but I'm practically squirting machismo out of my nipples.
|
Lactating is as masculine as it gets
|
yo flame me
|
nah
|
bitch
|
Anyway, I've got an awesome story that would elevate me to being a legend (more than I already am) in my circle of friends but I can't tell anyone. My life sucks sometimes.
|
but you can tell us
|
nah he'd never tell us
what would be the point of that |
keep up his internet persona
|
I'm not sure it is a persona
|
It's not a persona at all. I really am the most awesome person on the planet.
Just kidding :p But seriously. |
good story bro
|
There's a story behind it but I'm pretty tired. Tomorrow, perhaps.
|
Well it is tommorow for me so start with the story telling...
|
Had the best snowboarding day of my life yesterday. After two years of not boarding, I was doing surprisingly well. The first half of the day I spent teaching my girlfriend to board, then she went into a training class, and I went to the top of the mountain for some black diamond-action. I landed every jump I attempted, and while I didn't catch serious air, I was easily 2 or 3 feet off the ground everytime, and that's good for me.
I think I'll spend the money and go again in a few weeks. |
It's time for me to get a new job. Or a new placement at the very least. I've been noticing that the longer I'm at the place I'm working now, the more angry and depressed I get each time I'm there.
It's a very easy job with very little to do, but it's just spirit crushing. |

Get a job in the mines.

That's exactly how my job is. It was awesome when it started, but 18 months down the line I'm absolutely sick of it. It's just money though isn't it. No point getting wound up about it if you can avoid it though. It's just something you don't want to do so you can do the stuff you do want to do in your spare time. Just like school was ;p
You're on some decent pay dude, and like you say - it's easy work. Think about it hard, and if you really want to quit, make sure you have another lined up before you do! |

Unfortunately, I read math-related texts in my spare time, so it's just as easy to go to class and at least get a credit (and eventually, a degree) out of it. |
You're abnormal though. Let's be honest.

You bought a cease.transmission pedal which, from the sounds of it, just makes noise and allows you do bend the pitch of the noise. I'd say reading about knot theory is classified as pretty normal by comparison. |
Honestly, no, I think mine still has more real world application :p
|
Honestly, no, I think mine still has more real world application :p
You say that now. And then they'll prove the existence of string theory. And then my intimate knowledge of knot theory will help unlock the secrets of the universe and I will transmit music simultaneously in 12 different dimensions, while you'll merely cease.transmission. Knot theory is weird. It's like topology, except deals with strings instead of multi-dimensional shapes. It's basically a means to analyze and catalog knots according to the loops and knots. pft. some of those aren't even knots.

They are all unable to be untied into a simpler object. They're way cooler than any knot I've ever seen you tie. |
look at that one that's just two circles. that's knot a not.
and you haven't seen me tie cool knots because knots aren't cool. they're knots. a pedal that goes skreeeeeeeeeewooookshhhhhhhhhhhhhhwurrrrrrrrrr is far more novel and timeless. i think that's fairly obvious. |

Michael Winslow can make the same noises and many more as well. Much better investment, IMO. |
FMB: Mix of recorded song. Now.

I decided that you didn't want it. Actually, I was extremely busy and totally forgot. Did you post your email somewhere in this thread? |
Now sweat dude.
Please don't make my mind up for me sir, I have enough trouble doing it myself. joelhalford at windows live dot com :) |
I just sent it, with my explanation on why it's the most worthless sh*t to ever graze this forum and how my band needs Raayl and only Raayl as a band member so that we can be awesome.

Thank you Joe, listen to it in a bit.
Edit: review sent via ze email. |
so is the invisible bit the knot?
No, it was sarcasm. It's just to give the example of 0 knot crossings and multiple strings. |

I've been with the company for one year so far. Looking for something new, though. I don't know how much longer I can deal with this crap. |

OMG. I soaked my strings in denatured alcohol for 24 hours, wiped them off, and my strings are fantastically new-sounding again! Supposedly, it's much better than boiling because it wont cause rust, the lack of heat doesn't weaken the metal, and it apparently takes them back to their "new" state better than boiling so they'll last longer.
I'm going to see how long I can use this same set of strings with a cleaning every few months. |
