God sent Terry Schiavo to hell for the sin of sloth.

Dargon 11-26-2007 08:41 PM

ooo u are a clevar and edgy nigra.

rattlehead42147 11-26-2007 08:42 PM

you are a gay fag.

Aakon_Keetreh 11-26-2007 08:43 PM

Dargon isnt on much. why not?

Dargon 11-26-2007 08:45 PM

A gay fag? As opposed to a straight fag?

You're obviously out of your element. Tell you what, the little white fluffy things go in the bag, and when the bag is full you come back to the truck and get another one. That's really all you need to know.

rattlehead42147 11-26-2007 08:50 PM

i'm sorry but you're taking this seriously as opposed to me not caring/feeling insulted whatsoever.

if anybody has heard of Seance, i got their album Fornever Laid to Rest and it is ****ing amazing. i'll be accused of namedropping i suppose but its a really good album. I love the vocals.

Aakon_Keetreh 11-26-2007 08:50 PM

haha. that made me lol.

Tyler 11-26-2007 08:52 PM

Do you download 15 albums a day or what? And what have we told you about trying to be funny?

Dargon 11-26-2007 08:53 PM

rattle, you can come back when you've found a band that we all didn't check out 3 years ago.

rattlehead42147 11-26-2007 08:54 PM

i honestly do. i'm not really trying to be funny i just really don't care. but i got around 7-8albums today and the Seance sticks out from the rest.
rattle, you can come back when you've found a band that we all didn't check out 3 years ago.
you're really pulling at straws to piss me off. so when someone brings up a band you don't like they're stupid and "not elite". but when someone brings up a band you do like that hasn't been discussed in a while its "hey that's old news". whatever your opinion, the album is great and makes for good discussion.

NemesisDivina 11-26-2007 08:55 PM

wtf, how can you get 7-8 albums in one day and honestly say that you enjoy them

Dargon 11-26-2007 08:55 PM

Another one of these file jews who downloads more than they can even listen to because their 5-second attention span doesn't permit them to listen to an album more than once anyways.

LifeInABox 11-26-2007 08:58 PM

I bought 2 EP's today. Am I a Jewel Case Jew, Dargon?

rattlehead42147 11-26-2007 08:58 PM
wtf, how can you get 7-8 albums in one day and honestly say that you enjoy them
i obviously only listen to 1 a day. today was Seance. i listen to all of them thoroughly, that's why i was talking about it in here a while back about how i was going to start downloading again since i had caught up on my previous unlistened albums.

NemesisDivina 11-26-2007 09:00 PM

So I really like this Depresy that Poofy reccomended a few pages back. Has anyone else listened to it?

Tyler 11-26-2007 09:02 PM
i honestly do. i'm not really trying to be funny i just really don't care. but i got around 7-8albums today and the Seance sticks out from the rest.
You don't listen to or enjoy music, you catalogue it. And, as emphasised, you name drop it.

You'll regret it in time.

rattlehead42147 11-26-2007 09:07 PM

you really don't know how i listen to music so stop making assumptions. i get a lot of it at a time in a short period (like a week) and then stop downloading and spend probably a good month listening to it all. i've got a lot of non metal stuff to listen to which kind of eats up some time too.

Tyler 11-26-2007 09:08 PM

I dont know but you really give off the vibe of a guy who downloads 10 albums a day, listens to them once, mentions them in passing and then grabs ten more. I'm telling you, slow down.

Aakon_Keetreh 11-26-2007 09:09 PM

Downloading to many cds can be addictive

Tyler 11-26-2007 09:10 PM

Downloading compulsively becomes a chore, and in turn, takes a lot of the fun out of finding and listening to music.

Aakon_Keetreh 11-26-2007 09:11 PM

Cocaine knows his ****.

pate 11-26-2007 09:12 PM

I make a list of **** I want, then wait a few weeks. Then when I finally get it the enjoyment is better.

rattlehead42147 11-26-2007 09:13 PM

i can understand that. its sort of what i've been doing lately but i've found so much good material recently its been fueling me to get more. but i always slow down eventually, and as i've said before i like to give things at least two listens because my impression often changes on the second time which leads to more listening.
to be honest i actually look at the play counts on my ipod to see whats been played only once and make sure i go back and listen to it, that's how particular i am about it.

Same. I use the Wishlist feature on RYM a lot. I have a shitload of music. A chunk of it is from a brief stage when I succumbed to compulsion and I regret it.

Yeah but this makes me get the idea that you take music as a chore. You gotta have fun with it.

rattlehead42147 11-26-2007 09:19 PM

you are right there, i will keep those things in mind. for example as of late i've been on a Jeff Buckley kick i cant stop listening to his stuff. i think his music fits the thread perfectly.
time for an avatar change.
Downloading compulsively becomes a chore, and in turn, takes a lot of the fun out of finding and listening to music.
This is pretty much the truth.

In the past year or so I have hardly downloaded anything. Just a few albums here and there and finding other ways to preview music and then buying/downloading it so I don't get to many albums at once.

Every since I started doing that, I have been able to go through my back list of music I haven't really listened too because of being an impulse downloader. Becuase of doing that I missed out on alot of music I enjoy now because I passed it up after the first listen to go and get more and more.

NemesisDivina 11-26-2007 09:24 PM

i'm not sure if there's room for two jeff buckley avatars in R&M

i am the robots 11-26-2007 09:24 PM

You're both gayer than me. @ Hbp and Rattle

And yeah, previewing things is bettar.

Tyler 11-26-2007 09:24 PM

hbp doesnt' deserve to listen to Jeff Buckley so whatever.
