bottlerocket 05-11-2006 03:25 PM

Hot Cross is great if you're in the mood.

Currently spinning: CTTS - "As the Roots Undo"

Like I said: flashback week for me. :p

-Gav

Matt? 05-11-2006 03:31 PM

i like doing that too.

it always makes me feel pretty good to listen to all the stuff i used to love.

i'm so excited for summer. i have so many albums i want to listen to but i need it to be summer to listen to them.

deadohiosky9 05-11-2006 03:31 PM

I haven't been in the mood for CTTS in like a year. Ever since I heard Drew was gay I stopped listening.

...just kidding. Homos are cool so long as they let my ween alone.

Hot Cross just own and so do I cause I got my f'ucking license. F'uck yes!

I never have flashbacks to old albums and stuff...I hate nostalgia for some reason.

whiteminority 05-11-2006 03:32 PM

Gav, Hot Cross is bad all the time except for that song Existence that is currently a demo, but will be released sometime soon.

I'm getting mine tomorrow. I can't wait. Then Shai Hulud sat.

deadohiosky9 05-11-2006 03:36 PM

Hot Cross is awesome, they are only bad in your opinionated perception of them. That does not make them Universally bad, only subjectively bad. (I've been spending waaay too much time in Philosophy subforum of Toolnavy).

Good luck Damien.

whiteminority 05-11-2006 03:38 PM

Well Neeshee, as you know, I am right most of the time, and by most of the time, I mean all of the time.

Matt? 05-11-2006 03:39 PM

man i just found this cool mp3 of jamie stewart from xiu xiu covering giagantic by the pixies.

pretty neat

edit: preceding xiu xiu

deadohiosky9 05-11-2006 03:41 PM
Well Neeshee, as you know, I am right most of the time, and by most of the time, I mean all of the time.
Well considering we live in a time-linear based society, time is only a concept of man. So outside of time you are wrong and totally wrong. So since time isn't real, you are false. You are only right in perception.

Matt? 05-11-2006 03:45 PM

yeah

you know what i jsut realized that is sorta upsetting. faraquet never downloaded

Iron Bug 05-11-2006 04:18 PM

I have it if you have soulseek. I love that album.

bottlerocket 05-11-2006 04:23 PM

I didn't know Drew was gay...interesting.

They still rule.

Isn't Chris from Saves the Day gay?

I hate when people used to love bands then don't like them when they find out the singer is gay or bi. I think that's so lame.

I know you were kidding, Neeshee, but that reminded me. :p
Isn't Chris from Saves the Day gay?
Oh, I hope so.

:naughty:

I've never heard that he was gay before. I didnt know Drew was gay either. And i always hear people saying that Geoff Rickly is gay, but i only halfway doubt it. For some reason, people just pick up that he's gay, i dont know why.

deadohiosky9 05-11-2006 05:46 PM

Its because Geoff said something about Gays and being called a F*.ag in those explanations he had for WATT on their site. But I don't think he's gay.

cobert 05-11-2006 05:50 PM

Yeah, it's probably because they dont really have songs about girls and relationships. And they have songs like paris in flames and M. Sheppard that are about prejudice and things like that. And he has a lisp when he sings.

cbmartinez 05-11-2006 05:52 PM

I don't know, judging from his stage antics, he comes off a little gay. But I don't think you can really judge from that. But there was a bunch of talk about "M. Shepard" having personal meaning to Geoff.

Drew is the same way. He's a little soft spoken and efeminite in speech but I don't think that's really enough to say he's gay.

Haha, my one friend has the best gaydar ever, and she said that Geoff has to be gay. She saw the video for Understaing In a Car Crash, and the conversation went as follows.

"Is that guy gay?".
"I dunno, i heard he might be."
"Because i look at him moving like that, and i see a gay man."

cbmartinez 05-11-2006 06:08 PM

He does the cutest dances live. And I always thought of him as being like soft-spoken but in that cutesy voice of his he's like,

"How you guys like the new shit? Some of you might know this one if you downloaded it and that's fucking awesome."

I've assumed Chris is super gay.
Handsome Boy
"I said, "that boy's handsome"
and a little bit of me wanted to be beautiful-
Carrie said, "It's hard to look in the mirror these days
when everyone has everything you'd rather be."
There's just something about his smile He looks so nice,
I wish I had friends like that
They'd always be there for me, I wouldn't look bad
They wouldn't talk behind my back."

The Way His Collar Falls
Leif and I are on the train to New York in car 1399.
There's a guy with a quarter in his ear
and I've seen Leif only once in the past two months.
His hair is sticking up a little in the front. He's losing it just a bit.
When I get home tonight I'll miss him in Hampshire.
I'll miss his glasses and the way he writes in purple pen,
the way his collar falls to the left.
Have you seen his ankles lately?
I know he's next to me.
I feel his sweater here,
but when I'm sleeping it's only green sheets and the hair down my legs.
I think I'll write you, Leif, when I'm near Tuesday,
sometime before you go and I'm back on the train."

Enough said?

RetiredAt21 05-11-2006 06:15 PM

After School Knife Fight is pretty good.

SGlove 05-11-2006 06:17 PM

And about Geoff.. isn't he married?

I really cant imaigine geoff swearing, thats hilarious. I have seen videos thoguh, he has some radd moves.

I saw an interview with Geoff and Tucker on TV, and they were laughing at a few of the questions because they were silly. It's weird seeing them out of their normal settings, and not playing music or talking about it.

QUESTION: "Stalin or Hitler?"

TUCKER: "Stifler."

RetiredAt21 05-11-2006 06:20 PM

I thought the same thing when i heard this song for the first time. I was like "This is kind of weird."
What are you guys talking about? I'm freaking out.
Like the Blood Brothers?

cobert 05-11-2006 06:34 PM
Like the Blood Brothers?
Yes, like the blood brothers.

Why do so many bands have gay people in them?

Maybe if I was gay i could be in a good band. Who here wants to be gay with me and start an awesome band?

RetiredAt21 05-11-2006 06:42 PM

I don't wanna be gay, but I'll be in a gay band.

cobert 05-11-2006 06:46 PM

Allright then, it looks like im in it alone.

/turns gay.
/starts band.

RetiredAt21 05-11-2006 06:47 PM

So, I'd have to be gay to be in the band?

cobert 05-11-2006 06:49 PM

No. you can just join at any time now, we have filled our gay quota. I mean, some other gay guy wouldnt hurt, but it's just not needed. It's not like we're trying to be The Scissor Sisters or anything.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 05-11-2006 06:50 PM

Some Girls is a gay band. And which member of The Blood Brothers do people say is gay?

RetiredAt21 05-11-2006 06:51 PM

The singers.
