lowsound
I remember that sometime ago we had a thread about designing a bass or something and there was alembic's...their starting price was something like $16000

Thonk 11-09-2006 02:44 PM

The most expensive one I could make was in between 30 and 40 grand.

lemoley 11-09-2006 02:45 PM

so is the schecter i posted active?

ebe9 11-09-2006 02:46 PM
Oh, so THAT'S what that does. I get it now.

<3 @ ebe

Thanks. I labeled it as Local Disk (P:)
So now I have A, C, D, E, F(removable), G(removable) and P drives.

Sweet.
Glad I could help.

I recently had the same problem you just had, had to figure it out thanks to some manufacturers instructions.

Thonk 11-09-2006 02:46 PM

Yeah, studio's are active.

3 band onboard EQ.

Jimbobntnr 11-09-2006 02:48 PM

I loved the tone from my studio 6

Thonk 11-09-2006 02:48 PM

Oh damn.

The new CV-4's are so hot...

lemoley 11-09-2006 02:50 PM

cool

well im either going to get that or the C-1 Artist, i knew having a parent in the U.S would pay off :)

ebe9 11-09-2006 02:52 PM

Well with a bit of luck I will be in Canada over the festive season for a bit of a holiday.

Might try picking up a 6er while over there

lemoley 11-09-2006 02:53 PM

awesome

got anything in mind?

Thonk 11-09-2006 02:56 PM

I'd really like a Studio 6...

I'd have to sell my guitar bass and amp to afford one, though.

no job ftl.

lemoley 11-09-2006 02:57 PM

ah too bad man

Ideally a second hand Warwick Corvette standard 6er.

But the Schechter Studio 6 also looks quite nice.

Its just an idea, otherwise I build one and see how it goes.

I have a warwick corvette that im looking to sell for cheap, I really have no need for it anymore, drop me an e-mail or wait for me to get on msn if you're interested - no_leaf_clover24@hotmail.com

lemoley 11-09-2006 03:01 PM

yeah building one would be cool, like in a Ritter style would be sweet

Same here. I just really want to put a killswitch on it. I'm tired of having to unplug it all the time. In jazz band, we stop a lot, and half the time, he has the rhythm section stop while he checks intonation and rhythm of the brass. A killswitch would just be a sweet upgrade.

nisakss 11-09-2006 03:08 PM

HEy all, what's up?

6er?

and what would you be looking to get for it?

I say might at this point as it is dependant on the Canadian consulate as to whether they issue a visa

FunkMetalBass 11-09-2006 03:12 PM

If I install a kill switch, will it

1) make a clicking/popping sound every time I flip it on?
2) preserve battery life?

lemoley 11-09-2006 03:13 PM

well im off guys

peace

thelowsoundofbass 11-09-2006 03:14 PM

I am back.

Thonk 11-09-2006 03:17 PM

Well, I can answer mumber 2.

No. The only thing that will preserve the battery life is unplugging.

Spaceman Spiff 11-09-2006 03:18 PM

Ugh... I have two assignments due tomorrow. Good thing I haven't started. Of course, I only found out about them yesterday because I wasn't at school on Monday or Tuesday.

unless the kill switch was between the battery and pre.
unless the kill switch was between the battery and pre.
Oh.. I thought the battery was engaged whenever something pushed on/against the little prong on the input jack?

Or am I talking out of my ass?

Jimbobntnr 11-09-2006 03:25 PM

no, it normally would be, but with a switch there it would be the equivalent of removing the battery plug.

Well, I was reading into it, and found this site:
http://alexplorer.net/guitar/mods/standby.html

It says that it DOES in fact preserve battery life.

I guess I'll have to get a third source.
unless the kill switch was between the battery and pre.
Well, even between the pre and the output jack, wouldn't it still cut the circuit the same?

My things aren't too big, but it's still pretty lame.

One is a paper that describes the different management and organizational theories and going over the pros and cons of each theory.

The other is a case study where I just need to answer a few questions based on the reading. I probably need to use my brain and come up with my own opinions for some of it, though. :upset:
