Still no 'scrob update.
It's rather irritating.

What genre is Fuck...I'm Dead?
Also, I finally heard some Ghoul. I was very pleased with what I heard.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-08-2006 07:27 PM

They're a grind band. Very good.

Haha Skid Row, eh?

I have a funny story involving them.

blue3 01-08-2006 09:34 PM

Yeah, eh? What about them?

Tyler 01-08-2006 09:38 PM

I also would like to know this story. Shoot.

ATM 01-08-2006 09:39 PM

My guitar teacher was asking me if I had heard any Bach, and in my newbieness (I had just started guitar), I asked "Is that the dude from Skid Row"?

Cain 01-08-2006 09:41 PM

Whoops.

I was just on AIM and a "recent buddy" tried to IM me...I didn't get the message until I quit. Was anyone here trying to IM me?
My guitar teacher was asking me if I had heard any Bach, and in my newbieness (I had just started guitar), I asked "Is that the dude from Skid Row"?
Well, you were right, to a degree. :p That's pretty funny though.

To this day, however, I am never able to take requests. It's sad that I don't know more songs.

ATM 01-08-2006 09:45 PM

It's not sad at all. You just write your own music.

Cain 01-08-2006 09:48 PM
It's not sad at all. You just write your own music.
Yeah, but even so, it's nice to have an arsenal of crowd-pleasers. I was at a Battle of the Bands last night and I swear I knew less than half the songs that elicited cheer after cheer from the audience. Sometimes I feel like I've got the pulse of where the mainstream's headed, and at times like that I tell myself "get your arse out of that guitar magazine."

As a writer of music who aspires to attain some sort of success with that music, this thought is rather distressing. :)

ATM 01-08-2006 09:50 PM

How do you record your music, Lucas?

I'm thinking about getting an interface so that I can start making my own album.

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-08-2006 09:58 PM

My weekend in a nutshell:

Snowboarding
Mountain Dew

EDIT: "270 on to boardslide" belongs on that list too.

ATM 01-08-2006 10:02 PM

I can't wait to go snow boarding again. I haven't gone yet this winter.

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-08-2006 10:14 PM

I've already gone like 9 times this year. I'm such a lucky bastard. :-D Can you do anything cool, or how often do you go?

ATM 01-08-2006 10:31 PM

I can't do anything too exciting. I lived in Norway for a couple years, and that's where I learned. Soooo many cool places to snowboard there. The lift would carry you up for about half an hour, and then you could basically just keep riding down for what felt like hours.

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-08-2006 10:36 PM

That is so sweet. My home hill is so little..One quad, a triple, and two doubles. I love it there though. I can have as much fun there as I could anywhere else, just because I know where it's at. :p

I've got a special guitar cable that goes into the line-in on my G4 Powerbook and I record all my songs on Garageband.

The guitar goes into my POD which goes into my computer, typically. It's as simple as that.

Nice. Maybe I should just invest in a POD.

Kingofdudes 01-08-2006 10:50 PM

Anyone else getting a "Malformed URL" error on sputnik right now?

Cain 01-08-2006 10:51 PM
Anyone else getting a "Malformed URL" error on sputnik right now?
Nope.

blue3 01-08-2006 10:51 PM

No.. It's fine on my computer.

So, who would like to help Butcher pass his honors biology test tomorrow?

If any of you know those laws that Darwin said about evolution.
Organisms beget like Organisms is the only one I can remember.

Leper 01-09-2006 12:38 AM

Wish I could help you bud. Biology definitely isn't my bag.

Tyler 01-09-2006 12:54 AM
Wish I could help you bud. Biology definitely isn't my bag.
Ditto. My duty is to rock.
