Yeah, new Shpongle is pretty good.

masscows 11-07-2009 10:23 AM
sweet, i'll get that Immolation album a little later

I think a lot of Severed Heads albums are out of print or really hard to find, you might be able to get it off sevcom.com if Amazon and such don't have it.
yeah, Since the Accident was listed as OOP on amazon but it was still only $10ish dollars so idk, I might still just buy it.

I met him two years ago, crazy crazy man

Meatplow 11-07-2009 10:34 PM

he looks like a bit of a tripper

Txus 11-07-2009 10:37 PM

yeah, he was giving acid to lots of people when i saw shpongle

seeing Divine Moments of Truth live is one of the reasons why i love life

Meatplow 11-08-2009 11:22 PM

hey Alex last night I had a dream I found a Pink & Yellow CD for sale for $29.95 in a big music chain store and was like wtf should I buy this but it just cost too much and I went home.

Jaundice 11-08-2009 11:25 PM

im about to burn a five or six song Pink and Yellow CD to show my friend who plays guitar

Meatplow 11-08-2009 11:27 PM

I remember the album art looked amazing in a CD jewel case

one of the strangest dreams i've had recently

Jaundice 11-08-2009 11:28 PM

apparently the big time record labels didn't dig the ms paint pictures of girls with pink hair

Meatplow 11-08-2009 11:36 PM

It's not that they don't dig it, it is that 99% of their target demographic doesn't dig it

Jaundice 11-08-2009 11:37 PM

One can only guess what the target demographic for Pink and Yellow would be.

Txus 11-08-2009 11:40 PM

Recommend me very esoteric Industrial music please

Meatplow 11-08-2009 11:43 PM

Project Pitchfork
Wappenbund
Control
Einleitungszeit

idk, i'm always at severe risk of recommending an artist you not only know but have another album you prefer so I guess thats something

Txus 11-08-2009 11:47 PM

I don't know any of those, thanks :)

Meatplow 11-09-2009 04:40 AM

http://iamsurroundedbyincompetence.blogspot.com/

i made a blog there will be lots of haz music on it (probably industrial, electronic and neofolk mostly)

Jaundice 11-09-2009 04:46 AM

pink and yellow discog obvi

Meatplow 11-09-2009 04:47 AM

ripped into lossless FLAC from the CD I bought at that large music chain store I dreamt about

Jaundice 11-09-2009 04:50 AM

yeah P&Y must be listened to with top audiophile equipment in lossless formats, other wise you wouldn't know that the 1970's production values are supposed to be there

Meatplow 11-09-2009 05:07 AM

:)

i'm working on a Cripples Crossing Highways LP, I have about 20 different tracks i've started as templates to build on

Jaundice 11-09-2009 05:09 AM

nice nice

im not actually working on anything concrete, but i want to work on learning to play this synth and maybe making a couple rap beats

Jaundice 11-09-2009 05:24 AM

"Reptile" by Nine Inch Nails sets an example of depravity that later industrial rock fans have had a hard time living up to

Meatplow 11-09-2009 06:06 AM

I always did like those filthy synths and distorted guitars on Heresy

Jaundice 11-09-2009 06:08 AM

yeah it's all good stuff, on a bit of a NIN kick this morning

first discovering Further Down The Spiral in high school must have been one of the first things to make me fall in love with industrial, so much darker and more complex than standard nin output

Meatplow 11-09-2009 07:29 AM

i'm on a Laibach kick of late

I thought their first album was this one I listened to ages ago, but no its completely different now that i've tried to find it again. I have to browse through their discography, it was mostly interesting percussive elements from what I remember I think one of the songs was called "Battles" or something

do you want
total war?
throw out christ
and bring back thor?
do you want
total war?
unleash the beast
in man once more?

Meatplow 11-09-2009 08:33 AM

**** list

if ever I catch me a deadly disease
i'll declare open season on my enemies
and i'll hunt them down and i'll make them pay
for the wretched things they do and they say

if you're on my **** list it's not over yet
I never forgive and I never forget

Meatplow 11-09-2009 08:51 AM

This album is pretty bad there's something awesomely subversive about loops of nostalgic 60's pop music I can't quite explain. What Jaundice might call, depraved.

Jaundice 11-09-2009 09:38 AM

i heard something about depravity and loops of 60's pop music

i need names

Meatplow 11-09-2009 09:38 AM

roll back a page

Jaundice 11-09-2009 09:42 AM

i figured Rice was involved, he's the only other person crazy enough to make industrial from 60's pop

will download v soon

Meatplow 11-09-2009 09:48 AM

I remember he looped some 60's stuff on The Black Album as well, he talked about his fondness for that sort of thing extensively in some interviews i've read. He is a sound archivist as well and has a tonne of obscure vinyl.

Jaundice 11-09-2009 03:13 PM
